I think some tunes should be re released into mainstream chart in order to show younger folks what they have missed

Here are a few suggestions below, They are timeless classics that never seem to age. How great would it be listening to them on the radio again, and hearing all the chavs on the bus play these instead for a wee change,

What are yours?

You can't go wrong with a bit of Vengaboys Their most summery song has to be -We're going to Ibiza.

Christina Aguilera's Genie in a Bottle has to be a brilliant cheesy summery song. Also have to go with O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei which is one my fave cheesy songs.

I wouldn't call Kylie's slow a cheesy pop record. The majority of her early stuff from the 80's is good old fashioned cheesy pop like Loco motion, i should be so lucky etc. So try and get some vintage Kylie.

Cheesy pop is a great tradition, and once upon a time it wasn't actually shit music either. Russ Abbot's 'Atmosphere' is a standout example for me; lyrically dubious but nevertheless good music in itself, even thought it is blatantly parodying an emergent form (SAW).

I should be so lucky is definitely very cheesy I'd say songs like Love At First Sight and Come Into My World are quite cheesy too.

What about some of Britney's early songs (from the Baby One More Time/Oops I Did It Again eras)? They were quite cheesy.

Vintage kylie is always a great place to start when you're looking for cheesy pop. See also the other PWL acts of that era (jason donovan, sonia, brother beyond etc)

Also the 90's boyband stuff is always good, especially *nsnyc's i want you back

I found the opening lyric to Wouldn't Change a Thing remarkably cheesy. Kylie sings "Some people don't understand what I see in you, if only they knew".

More recently, Olly Murs' debut single Please Don't Let Me Go was quite cheesy.
