the s--g and bloke bimbo for 5 hours on e4?

this is such a poor quality programme. its one thing to listen to chat and watching them complete games, but this mornings e4 was simply crass.

and then bb recap shows build it up. this is poor tv. still at least its not another episode of friends.

but as sex will never be shown live, can that rubbish officially be classed as the poorest quality tv ever shown in the uk?

Well, if you are referring to non-event TV then probably although there was a news item somewhere about a TV prog featuring paint drying. That would be marginally less exciting than this clingy crap.

yes i saw the paint story, but you feel they would do something to attract the viewer that you wouldn't expect!

but two people snuggling for 5 hours on a Saturday morning must go down as a new low in sleaze and inappropriate tv.

big brother is a great idea - and while on series 5 they have chosen the players so carefully the reactions can be so planned it may as well be a script and actors, they did not need to reduce uk tv to such pathetic levels.

It's the main "story" of the BB soap at the moment now that Kitten got booted. While it's banal viewing, you should probably view it as filler until this evening. Generally, mornings/afternoons are boring no matter who you are and where you are. Being cooped up in the BB house just amplifies this.

Lame story is better than no story so the producers opt to focus on this, plus it keeps the media spotlight on BB a little while longer until they get to the next saga of the BB soap.

Michelle will breakdown and run straight into Victors arms by the end of the weekend. From the bottom bunk, to the top.

Does the milkman deliver on weekends?

I'm sure he finds this all very amusing. I wonder how events would have unfolded had Michelle picked Victor first instead of Stupot.

i thought channel 4 bought the cricket rights for wallpaper tv?!

it isnt what happened, its that e4 just showed it for hours, it isnt quality tv, it isnt appropriate for the time of day, and it was so sleazy it really shouldnt be something c4 is showing.

c4 used to stand for cutting edge, now it stands for crud

Reality TV is, by definition, bottom of the barrel TV, orangeballon. It doesn't matter what story is running on the reality TV show because this type of show appeals to the lowest common denominator. That is its nature.

another exapmle of the "low quality" of the show and the amount of unsubtle planning was the entry into the house. marco goes in and flaps like a proper drama queen when looking under the stools (why?) and at the rest of the garden while awaiting person number 2 to arrive. we then get shown an interview where ahmed says he is homophobic. so in he goes to meet marco flapping and hugging him. no way they were going to miss each other then.

its so unsubtle, so sad, its a shame c4 has sunk to this. may be c5 had far too large an effect and c4 had to dumb down below it.

yeah but father (that sounds so wrong) bb has never been in the uk as pathetic as this is. perhaps they are trying to kill it off

Vic was trying to keep them together last night rather than split them up. He could have so easily councilled separation.
All credit to the bloke for taking being the looser so well.

Completely agree. BB1 was edgy, compelling, innovative and very much part of Channel 4's "alternative" remit. It was a novelty format with a short shelf life, which C4 have now extended beyond breaking point.

Since BB3, there's been a cynicism and ironed-out blandness, culminating in both BB4 and BB5 coming across as clapped-out, tired and mechanical. Nevertheless, if you wanted a programme that showcased the sheer devolution and dumbing down of a TV channel driven by market forces, then BB is the one to go for.

I suspect he's heard some of the discussions between other HM's about the effect the coupling will have on both Michelle n Stuarts popularity ratings among the voters for eviction. Perhaps he doesn't want an early exit !!
Also he has previously said that breaking up "Marco's harem" would benefit his own gameplan............

Reading your posts on this thread orangeballoon, why are you watching it if it annoys you so much?, turn it over or turn it off.

I watched it when I got up for about an hour & that was more than enough of seeing those two in bed together.

The fact is that now Kitten has left, the main storyline now becomes those two, unfortunately

At this stage, nobody in the house is thinking about winning BB5. Simply surviving until the second half is the imperative here. And I'm sure Victor is considering this; deep down, he is probably glad that Stuart was chosen by Michelle. Watching them both self-destruct, esp. as Michelle will be targetted by the remaining girls, is bound to give him happy thoughts.

Shell seemed pretty serious about winning when she saw the prize fund plummeting !! She couldn't push Kitten out that door fast enough. Then she had to assure everyone that she desperately needed that money for a "good cause" to win a sympathy vote from the other HM's. After all " Mummy has sh*t loads of debt etc " - some worthy cause .......

I disagree, the very fact he got involved and started to tell Stuart how Michelle feels suggests he is trying to rock the boat.

That's why I voted in this week's poll for Shell to win - at least she's open

It'll be interesting to see how Shell takes it if they lose the task tonight and the prize money is cut again....I can see her getting increasingly pissy if Big Brother continue to threaten prize money reductions...

this is a great idea. offer £100k and then every day or so find a reason to cut it so they end up winning £25.44p and a bag of chips to eat as they wait for the bus.

on the subject of them cutting the money until kitten left, what were they meant to do, hunt her down and physically remove her? that would have been unlawful. perhaps they wanted to make one of the players hurt her in a fight.

Seeing as the budget is low this year i can see them creating plenty of opportunities for them losing prize money. All helps and helps to create press afterwards.

IMO, it is cheap, low quality and trashy this year. In other years BB tried to pick the standard up even if the HM's were bringing it down but the production team seem to be encouraging it this year. Then again i think we hit rock bottom with Jade's kebab so nothing suprises me now.
