I have a case on my iPhone as the damn thing is a bit slippery but to be honest I think it spoils the look of it, also have a mirrored screen protector which does nothing only collect finger prints.

i currently got the White bumper and Zagg IS combo, but tbh the Zagg sucks.

So ive ordered the SGP Steinheil EX Protection Film iPhone 4 Ultra Crystal from Ebay USA which is compatible with the bumper and doesnt take anything away from the iP4 display

Ordered a black bumper to protect it a little from drops and hopefully make it a bit more grippy

Black Bumper, but I'll probably get an Otterbox Defender when they come out.

No screen protector, as I never bothered with one for my 3GS & had no scratches after a year. Although, having had the iPhone 4 for a fortnight, I already have a small scratch so I wish I had got one this time

cheap transparent gel type case + screen protector at the mo, will get something with a bit more protection when there's more choice out there. Defender case doesnt look as huge as the 3g one, so may be an option but not out till August.

I've got one which looks a bit like a black bumper but has a clear hard plastic back. Glad I have it, It's already survived a drop from my pocket to the pavement.

I've got a blue rubber case which covers the back and the sides of the phone. I want to get a screen protector but I can't fit it nicely so I will have to wait untill I visit the apple store next and get them to fit it.

I've got a blue cover for mine which covers the back and the sides. Got it from MobileFun, it cost about £10. I then went and ordered a Zagg Screen Protector. As for protection that will do I think. I can put up with the cover being blue as well, with me being an Evertonian.

The Zag Screen Protector seems quite tough but not sure about the slightly tacky texture to it. Finger just doesn't seem so smooth gliding across the screen.

Got the bumper today (mainly for protection) and its really nice, makes the phone more grippy to hold and its curved so nicer in the hand. The bars of coarse now doesn't drop when close to the antennae but no noticeable difference in 3G speeds or voice quality.

Cheapo case and cheapo screen protector at the moment. Waiting until I get an iPhone without issues before I put my ZAGG on.

Invisibleshield is an incredible thing, had one on my last iPhone for close to 2 years and it was still perfect. I know some people don't like the feel of it or the slight orange peel but tbh, I wouldn't trust anything else.

I'm a bit concerned by the feel of it and how it would seem to attract dust, particles and fingerprints. Certainly feels different. Notice it, especially if playing a game.

I have the Otter case for my iphone 3gs and it does the job for when im at work and i normally just leave it on but the protective cover goes funny sometimes like theres air behind it and leaves dark patchs on screen unitl i squeeze it and it pops of again but soon goes back.
Any ideas what makes it do that? i think its air so was thinking puting a tiny pin hole in 1 corner or something

I have the iPhone 3GS 16GB and have a Gear 4 case which protects both front and back. Maybe similar to the OP's case as the front just seems to collect greasy fingerprints. However, as my 6yr old daugher plays Angry Birds and Doodle Jump, I'm glad it has the case on to be honest.

I can never get a screen protector on without one annoying bit of dust, it doesn't seem to come off the phone so it must just be in the air, the screen doesn't seem to scratch easily anyway so I don't bother much.

As for cases, I normally keep it in a leather pouch which protects the screen and though I can operate it in the case, I take it out because it's easier.

I don't think it adds much more bulk to it than a Bumper already does. The belt clip is on a separate holster.

In the US, some of the companies making cases are giving you a fiver off if you trade in the Apple supplied freebie bumper/case... (though I don't think Otter are)

I have a Bumper already. I'll be getting my money back from Apple though, and use it for something that gives better protection such as the Defender (all the Bumper does is cover the antenna band... great for DeathGrip prevention but not much else).
