Hi Colin, I've not got access to my 9200 at the moment so can't check but is tonight's Corro showing in the EPG or not? I may have misunderstood, I assumed that Corro was showing in the EPG but not flagged to record.

That is exactly what I see but it is correctly listed in the schedule as due to record so I am guessing it will record.

Well my Corro recording failed tonight with a 'did not record because of conflict' message when I try to play the play list entry for it, first time I've seen that. Coast on BBC2 recorded 20:00 to 21:00, Emmerdale on ITV recorded 20:00 to 20:30 so that was both tuners being used but then Corro failed 20:30 to 21:00. Strange as it's on the same channel as Emmerdale and followed it so couldn't possibly be an overlap clash, sounds like the sort of problem that Colin will know about.

My Corrie recorded fine, which I'm sure is only due to me cancelling the link and re-selecting it.
It seems that this issue has been swept under the carpet as all has gone quete at Humax end regarding the issue.

This wasn't just a Humax problem. My daughter's Luxor box also failed to record it on series link. I blame ITV myself!

I'm sure mine wasn't a Series-Link problem because the box knew it was to record Corro, there was a correct schedule entry prior to last night's episode. I think my problem was caused by the other recordings at the time although logically there shouldn't have been a problem. I'm hoping Colin may know something about the problem.

One of our boxes started recording at 20:30, apparently in the adverts between programs and stopped 54 seconds later (before the program had started). Not in a position to check what the other box did for a few days.

Thanks Martin. I didn't get any recording at all, just an entry in the play-list with a yellow rectangle with red wheel icon which I assume means 'did not record'.

Yes Big-les, yesterday (Wed) morning last nights Corro was showing in the EPG but not flagged to record, but like in Martin's case it was correctly listed in the Recording Schedule as due to record. Another anomally was that the EPG still showed the UAFA fotball match for the half hour period from 19:30 to 20:00.

The Corro programme recorded correctly for me. Although there was an un-usual result in that although my Vestel started the recording as normal at the junction at the end of the sponsor message and the start of theme tune sequence the Humax started recording 58s earlier including some trailer information and the sponsor message. This implies that the recording started at the scheduled time rather than waiting for the EITp/f transition.

Unfortunately I was out all evening last night, not returning until after midnight so I was unable to observe any changes to the EPG data in real time or after the event.

Edit:- Whilst drafting the above I see Martin (post #57) has provided more info that Corrie also started early as did mine although mine continued to include all the whole programme. This looks like Martin had an occurence of the "one minute recording" bug.

That time of 58 seconds is suspiciously close to Martin's report of a 54 second recording starting at 20:30 in post #57.

Yes it is. Did you see the "edit" to my post in which I commented that this seems Martin may have had an example of the "one minute recording" bug? It seems that I may have had a similar event but in my case the programme was recorded fully.

I don't think can be assumed. If your Luxor is one of the Top Up TV versions of a Vestel then recordings fail frequently in my experience on those PVRs so could be just a coincidence. My Vestel/Cabot PVR recorded correctly.

I can't explain that unless you had tried to set up a single record event on the 20:30 Corro episode when you noted it was not flagged in the EPG. I had a similar experience described in the post here from the "World Cup" thread. I think the situation for these re-scheduled events may be that although the programmes are not shown flagged in the EPG they have been identified for recording (as evidenced by the entry in the Recording Schedule) and is is just the EPG display not showing the flag correctly.

No I didn't change anything. I'd noted on Tuesday evening that a correct schedule entry was there for Wednesday's Corro so I just let AR/SL get on with it. I didn't know that the EPG entry wasn't flagged until I read Gonzo's post, and I have no idea what my EPG showed because I didn't get home until after the programme.

With the exception of Big-les, the rest of us got a successful recording by doing nothing.

I'm sure my problem was caused by the other recordings I had going around the time of Corro, although they should have been within the capabilities of the 9200.

It's a risk I didn't want to take as my ears just can't handle the wifes nagging if it don't record correctly.

You would think a long running soap that is always on it would be very easy to always remember the series ID for it, it shouldn't have changed for years!

It only ever seems to happen when an episode gets moved away from it's normal time slot.
Whoevers fault it is, it's about time it was put right. If we can see it's not linking up with the rest then surely someone at ITV must be able to see it too.

But surely it is linking up with the rest if the unflagged episode appears in the schedule, the fact that the EPG doesn't get flagged must be a Hummy software problem. The EPG flagging must be an internal process once the SL code is read, nothing to do with the broadcaster. I'm sure mine would have recorded if I hadn't been recording Coast at the same time, but that looks like a different problem.

Didn't I read earlier that someone else had a similar or the same problem on a different PVR?
If it is just a Hummy issue then I hope Humax are working to resolve the issue.

Not true. We had a 54 second recording as noted earlier that included none of the actual program.

It has been reported some time ago during the World Cup and Wimbledon similar issues that Humax were addressing the issue.
