Leanne Battersby

In my opinion Leanne's return is going to be brill! Not too sure about the stripper thing, but when she actually gets back on the Street sparks will surely fly. I have just been reading the spoilers and had totally forgotten about Maria and her quickie with Toyah's boyfriend. With this added to Maria being engaged to Nick, Corrie is onto another winner.
I don't know where she will live though? Les's house, Number 5, is full to bursting, so she might stay with Janice.

I think that at the first sign of Corrie getting on a downer like EastEnders, the writers should go straight for some really 'heavy' comedy and get rid of most traces of sensational or issue lead storylines that will probably become very weak and rubbish - like EE. That's always the best way that Corrie does bad patches - keeps the comedy flowing so that the show is still watchable, yet doesn't drive the viewers away by becoming unbearable.

I really hope that she sticks around for a while this time - she's notorious for quitting all her jobs - Corrie, The Bill, A&E, etc.
Anyone noticed how soon it's going to be like Corrie of 1997? Nick, Leanne and Liz all swanning about Weatherfield!

Haha, that's right. Corrie was never the same after 1997. I think the Battersbys were the only good thing to come out of Brian Park's reign, as well as getting rid of some daft characters. I would love to see Mavis back...but just to visit Rita or something - not a big storyline.

The way the Battersby family was crafted was absolutely spot-on. They just fitted the bill exactly for the kind of family they were. I would like to see Les and Janice back together I think...although he apparently marries Cilla.

There is a rumour going around that Nick and Leanne haev an affair. Nick is forced to choose between his ex-wife and his fiancée and he chooses his ex-wife but ends up getting knocked down by a car and killed when he crosses the road to stop her from leaving. A 'High-Profile Character' is supposed to die soon and Adam Rickitt is leaving but personally, although I don't like Nick, i hope this rumour isn't true. Do we really want to see the Platt family subjected to more tragedy?
I agree that I am looking forward to Leanne coming back tomorrow night. She and Maria have a cat-fight in the Rovers on Friday night which looks really entertaining. Apparently Leanne wants revenge - and she's going to get it!

I know. There are only so many times Gail's world can fall apart. Remember wehne there was the rumour that Leanne knocked Nick over and killed him when she drove back into the street? God, she would have had to just keep on driving and not look back!
