She was on her way to the Grove to watch it (they had a party for her). On the way a neighbour asked them for help with a flood. She (Gemma) was all wet and tried to fix the tv, touched a exposed plug and was electrocuted.

I used to work with Steven Bradley, who played 'Speedy' in the early days. Also one of the lads who went and formed that boy-band (Point Break?) was at Teesside Uni at around the same time as me in the mid-90's. Can't remember his name although we were on nodding terms - he recognized me from getting the bus back up to Newcastle.
