Spoiler

Apparently, this time she's going to be here for at least a year!

I hope she stays longer than a year....... so both her and Leanne are going to be working together? It really is just like old times.

Oh no.. worst case scenario has come true. I was dreading the day she'd end up behind the Rover's counter again...

Although I am looking forward to her returnas she is one of my fave characters, I really don't see what they're going to do with her. After all Karen's going at Christmas. It'll just be her and Steve. I bet her return will be like Ricky's in Eastenders - god to see her back, but ultimately a mistake and a character that should have been left in the past.

Yes, round about the time she got involved with Jez Quigley.

I don't think anything has been said regarding the nature of karen's departure yet.. But it's bound to be something dramatic considering it's Karen. I wonder if this leaves the door open for Steve to get to know baby Amy. That'd be nice..

Oh the pain in my ears from her voice and the pain in my eyes from looking at the sour faced old trout and her chicken stick legs poking out from underneath her Miss Selfridge lycra mini skirt.
She should be banned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree - to me she just doesn't fit in with where Corrie is at the moment. It's at a really good place, and I just feel she is going to bring it down.

She is just a parody of her old character - which was a brilliant character at the time, but not now

I`m not too keen on Liz, and I like Karen. But I thought that fight between Liz and Karen was absolutely fantastic.
The way that Liz poured out her emotions and told Karen exactly what she thought of her selfish ways with hardly stopping to take a breath was amazing. From Liz`s point of view I could understand why Liz disliked Karen so much.
But I did feel sorry for Karen after Liz left though. Especially when she cried on Steves shoulder.

Why should Liz dislike Karen so much? I think she is great and she is head over heals about Steve and he is about her. They are a much better couple than Liz and Jim ever were or could be. That fight with Liz and Karen when they came back from their honeymoon was out of order. Liz was taking over their flat, their lives and when she blamed Steve for her baby Katie (?) dying I thought it was way below the belt.

In Ireland we get Corrie on ITV and TV3 (an Irish station). We actually get to see most of the same stuff you get on C4, ITV, BBC etc. Needless to say all cable is the same.

Yes Corrie is in fine fettle at the moment and I think bringing her back may be the begining of a downturn in the soap. I hate her and so do a lot of other people and so if a story line comes up that is mostly about her I'd be inclinded not to watch unless it is amazingly well done.

Liz is a great character and she's such an old slapper! I can't wait for her return. Her and Karen will no doubt be at it again, and she'll try to side with Tracey and tell Steve to meet his baby. I bet Liz will play a huge part in the Karen exit storyline.

I don't think that Liz alone could reduce the quality of Coronation Street. It's not like Eastenders where we have centre attention on just two characters for six weeks (Sharon and Dennis/Kat and Alfie). If liz does get a big story, there'll be a balance of other stuff too.

Liz McDonald is always leaving and reappearing! Like people do all the time when they've got family in a particular place!!! Not like in Deadenders where they leave never to be seen again!
