Im currently on Three network which the contract doesnt run out until October, but I can upgrade to a new phone this month.
My last 3 phones have all been LG. U880,Shine and Viewty.
The most reliable of the 3 was the U880 which im currently using again as the shine is pants and keeps turning itself off during calls and the Viewty which was my favourite of the 3 has a faulty touchscreen so cannot use it.
So now im after some good advise on my next Three mobile.
The iPhone caught my eye in the Three store the other day so would like to know if its worth it or should I stay well clear and opt for another model of phone?
Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

Firstly, I would recommend that you go to your local Three store and go and try the phones out for yourself, see what you like. If you don't have one near, just go to another network store, they should have most of the phones to try out as well, just don't tell them you are going to stay with Three.

Regarding the iPhone 4, Im not sure if Three have any stock yet, the automated message on 333 says that it is coming soon.

However, even if you can get it I would personally stay away. It has issues when you hold the phone in a certain way (without any case on it) and it starts losing reception. You may or may not have seen this in the news but IMO its a pretty big deal. A case will sort it but doesn't make the problem go away.

I would recommend you take a look at the HTC Desire and see if you can get it into your price range. Alternative to the iPhone and a fantastic phone. Cheaper and lower down the scale is the HTC Wildfire which is like the Desire but just not as good, still a nice cheap phone though.

Thanks I will go have a look, but the stores always give the usual sales flannel that all phones are excellent and never have any problems with them. I had this when I complained about my LG Shine which they gave me that same twoddle even though the internet was rife with complaints on the same issue.
iPhone 4 is still coming soon, anyway I dont really want to have to pay out for a new mobile if I dont have to and the iphone 4 is from £99 - £259 up front cost unless you take out the £45 a month contract for the 16GB version.
They have the standard iPhone in 8GB(black) or 16GB(white) so are those worth getting?

If I want to try a phone out in any store I just tell the staff Im just looking for now and they are usually Ok with that. Leaves me in peace to check the phone out.

Many people are saying that with the iOS4 the iPhone 3GS isn't far off from the iPhone 4. Personally I would say no but thats just me wanting the latest phone. 3GS is a nice quick phone, especially compared to my 3G.

Again, best advice is to try and see how you like it.

What are you looking to spend each month?
