The Sun reports that Bruce will not present the Results Show next series...

BRUCE Forsyth is cutting his hours on Strictly after admitting he is getting too old for full-on duties.

The host, 82, will no longer present the results section of the show.

A source said: "Even he has admitted he's no spring chicken.

"He'll throw it over to the public vote then go home."

All the newspaers have it now, the mail is hinting at a new live Sunday results show.

Bruce Forsyth is set to scale back his duties as the host of Strictly Come Dancing.
The veteran entertainer, 82, is in talks with the BBC to cut down on the amount of hours he works, the Daily Mail has learned.
This could see him present the Saturday night live performance show - but bow out of an all-new Sunday night results show when Strictly returns in September.
Last year both shows were aired on Saturday night. However, as part of a bid to revamp the series, BBC chiefs are in discussions to split the shows between Saturday and Sunday once more

A 'proper' live sunday show would be very expensive to run. As production costs would be sky high over two days.

No, I think they'll still do it (the filming at least) on saturday, with or without Bruce.

He will bow out this year with either Graham Norton or Paul O'grady taking over in 2011?

I think that would be Saturday Norton overdose - he'll be doing his Saturday radio show and probably the spring and/or summer stint he's done every year since 2005.

Paul would be great though.

It's a bit silly, seeing as it is recorded on the Saturday night and he will already be there !

Can't see them going to live Sunday shows, too costly for one reason.

What he (Bruce) wants to do is turn up a couple of hours before the live show and go straight after it is finished.
At the moment he is there in the morning until nearly midnight.
If it is too much for him then he should really step down.
This is a good time to do it I think.
It is interesting that the BBC is prepared to change the format, again, to accommodate him.
A recorded Sunday show does not work but I cant see them doing a live one.

I think the BBC are changing the format to allow them to audition possible presenters for SCD9. I guess we might see several guest presenters on the results show.

I'm happy with a Sunday results show - the more SCD the better as far as I'm concerned.

Here here! Just as long as they drop the pretence that it is Sunday when we all know it's still Saturday.

Sunday evening telly is bobbins anyway so I'll welcome it back with open arms!

The BBC had stopped pretending with SCD (not with the ALW shows though), so let's hope they keep on doing that!

As an Atheist, 'faith' doesn't come easily to me Buddy Especially when I know that if there was a God in heaven I wouldn't be subjected to Bruno Tonioli AND he'd find a place for Camilla SOMEWHERE on the show (Preferably behind Bruno with a Tazer gun in her hand).

If Arthur Askey or Bob Monkhouse were still alive they would both get a gig on this

I hate the Sunday results show, especially when we know they are only pretending.

I doubt that very much and I certainly wouldn't be watching if they did.

That hasn't happened for several series.

More Strictly and less Bruce can only be a good thing, right?

And... I have mixed feelings about the results show. I do like having spoilers though - it makes me feel special to know something the rest of the population don't!

Good thing it's happened this year- they won't be able to 'trial' Anton in the Sunday presenter role as he's still competing.
