iPad on the 3 network
Ok I'm currently with O2 with my iPad, £15 a month for 3GB, but I'm thinking of switching to 3 £15 month for 10GB, but I do take advantage of the Cloud wifi at McDonalds etc with O2, does 3 have similar wifi access ? This might be a deal breaker for me.

WiFi is completely independent of the 3G network you're signed up to. The iPad only uses the 3G network when it does not have wireless access. So you'll be able to use wireless in any McDonalds regardless of the 3G network provider you are with. That's how people who have wireless only pads (without 3G capability) can connect to the internet.

thank you, I guess my confusion came when the Cloud web page requested me to log in with my O2 sim number, i presumed this would only allow access if I was using an O2 device.

That's wrong though, you do get inclusive wifi from cloud/open zone with O2 and open zone only on orange iPad tariffs. Not on three's offering. However, Wifi is free in mcdonalds whatever.
