Thoshiba RPTV and RF loop through
My Toshiba rptv has an RF loop to connect to the video recorder....
It works fine if the tv is on. But it won't work when the tv is switched off. So if I want to record something when I'm out or in bed I have to take the aerial lead out of the tv and put it in to the video... Any suggestions? |

Isn't it normal practice to feed the aeriel through the vcr first and then to the TV?
Why have you got it the other way round? Is it an IDTV by any chance? |

That's what I thought, but it was set up by the Toshiba installer. I had a look at the instruction book and it says to tv first and a fly lead from the RF loop to the VCR aeriel in socket..
