That sounds like its worth a try, i wonder what there reply will be, i have had lots of problems with this channel, i have even changed my dish, lnb, and cable,it seems to be a few transponders one of them is 12.560v.

I had this Email reply from CBS today.....

It might be that 3 transponders on the Eurobird are out of tolerance - looking at this thread....

Thanks for that, they were quick replying to you, may be they will look at what the problem is, on 12.560v i only get 35%, sometimes 45% signal, but thats on a clear day, the astra transponders are 90 to 100%, i know some people have big dishes so i suppose they would get a better signal from eurobird, but on a normal sky mini dish my signal for some of the eurobird transponders are low.

From the link above, this may not be a new problem - When I check the signal strength of CBS action, it is quite strong, but there is no programming etc - this suggests it is an uplink problem as has occured in the past...I have had no CBS action signal for 4 days - most other channels are OK - though Euronews has also vanished.

Hi bob, thanks for that link, so there could be a problem at their end, i have noticed that when cbs action goes down, there are other channels which go as well, i think they are on the same transponder, i was hoping that astra 2c at 31.5 was going to be moved back to 28.2 and some of the channels may have gone on to that satellite, but i suppose they have contracts with eutelsat.

I am glad I spotted this thread cos I posted another thread in Freesat as below as I was having trouble getting half the channels including the CBS ones plus BBC2 and others.

I have had the Bush HD receiver for a couple of years now and has been relatively ok for that time. My 45cm dish is on the side of the shed and worked perfectly with all Freesat channels until I knocked and moved it recently .
Now no matter how hard I try, I can get 100% signal strength and quality yet half the channels are now missing. I can get BBC but not BBC2. Can't get ITV 1 but can get some of the other ITV channels etc. same applies to other channels.
Is my meter telling porkies or is there a fault with the box now? In the past when the dish has been moved I have always got all the channels back.
I have an 80cm dish alongside for my European channels on my Pace box so I linked that up to the Bush box and still got the same result, missing channels.
Anything else I can try? Dish still slightly misaligned?

I have spent ages realigning my dish, tried different receivers etc and still getting missing channels so you guys may have come up with the answers I was unaware of.

Hi , if you have tried another dish, and still have certain channels missing, it may be something to do with your Bush HD receiver, have you tried another receiver on your dishes for this satellite.

Yep, my Pace Hd receiver diverted away from European 19.2 duties and a spare Fortec Star and still not getting certain channels

sorry just noticed you have tried a diffrent receiver, may be you are having the same problem as us, but i am not missing bbc2,and all my itvs are ok.

Since last reporting on 1/8 I decided to dismantle the 45cm Sky dish and LNB I was using and chucked them. I bought a 48cm freesat dish totally adjustable and put my spare 40mm LNB on.
I have now got a far better signal and can pick up BBC2 and a whole lot more again now!

However, the main channels I still can't get are all the CBS channels, Horror, Bet, True Ent, S4C2, Euronews, Bloomberg TV, CNBC, True Moveies 1 & 2, Movies 4 Men 1 & 2 plus a few others I am not too bothered about.

Is this due to the fact that the dish might not be fully aligned yet or all down to the CBS channel issues raised earlier? The Bush HD box does seem to be working ok.

I suspect in the trade, it is well known that these eurobird channels are weak, so Astra probably have a "Buy a good one, get a poor one cheap" policy - which CBS seem to have latched on to - what they should be doing is to use the poor ones as the +1 channels that very few watch & ones that are popular, use the best Transponders EG CBS Action! which does not even have a +1 channel.

After a few weeks of behaving itself, CBS Action started breaking up again for me tonight. Anyone else seeing problems?
