Man, tonights Corrie was as depressing as an average epiosde of Eastenders, but at least they had slight comic relief.

I felt the first eppy was absolutely all over the place. The comments and pointless conversations appeared to be mere time-fillers.. The second eppy was great though, they got the balance right that time.

It must get hard to fill two double episodes a week without the gap filling. I wish they would just go back to four eps a week.

It may have been depressing, but the acting was top notch and the writing was spot on.

I thought the writing was spot-on in the second episode, definitely. I thought that of the first wasn't great though.

It would be a little depressing wouldn't it, there was a funeral after all! They did mix a nice bit of comedy in there though with the stuff with Les & Janice, and then Les, Steve and Patrick!

Both episodes were superb. It'll take more than bribery to get the Soap Awards on side for DeadEnders next year.

I was blubbing my eyes at at the funeral, then we had Patrick & co that made me laugh especially the dial *** **** they're cheaper than us & have better cars.

Cue back to funeral & my tears.

Well done Corrie, it's a long time since any fictional storyline has had me this gripped.

Heee heee you lot have just compared an average episode of deadenders to a funeral. Seems to describe it perfectly one VERY long funeral!!!

Corrie was excellent on Monday, two very well written episodes with a good balance of sadness and comedy.

Eastenders last night though was far superior in terms of comedy, though I don't think it was intentional.

Mondays episodes were brilliant, yet so sad :'( They were brilliantly written and the acting was second to none - superb. If Corrie dont win every award going in the next soap awards then it will be a scandal!

Just a thought, but we've got to remember that the Soap Awards cover the whole of the last year, which may explain why Eastenders won a few awards. However, if they win anything at all in The Soap Awards 2005, that would be a scandal.

Well EE only won because the people who voted for the show were BBC employers and it was rigged in their favour.
