ok, so what do we think of this song?

i admit i am a massive Mark fan, but have spoken to loads of non fans who say this is his best song to date. At all the roadshows, he is getting a fantastic reception too. so why won't people give him a chance? Surely, good music should be good music?

single out now, btw

I love it! Didn't like his last single thought it was disappointing but this is fab.

Love the Charlie Chaplin/Buster Keaton stylee video too which is on one of the cd singles.

He's doing single signings this week - I know there are loads out there who love this song so go meet him and get it signed!

Tue 8th June, 12.30 HMV, 114 The Mall, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol
Tue 8th June 5.30pm HMV, 51 Queen Street, Cardiff
Wed 9th June, 12.30pm HMV, 25 Fishergate, Preston
Wed 9th June, 5.30pm HMV, Argyle Street, Glasgow
Fri 11th June 12.30pm HMV, 38 High Street, Birmingham
Fri 11th June, 5.30pm HMV, 38 Listergate, Nottingham

And take your camera cos he's happy to do photos bless him. This deserves to be a big hit but I hate the singles charts at the moment - they're just full of american r n b - which I hate!!

Yeah he's always cool live and always sings live - I hate mimers!!

He knows how to make the crowd his own while he's on stage. He did the Pop Beach thing as well but his bit wasn't televised. I'd far rather have seen him and not some of the other acts on there.

He's done loads of roadshows last month and this month. I was lucky enough to meet him at Sheffield roadshow, he was so nice.

He works so hard! He really believes in what he does - and if he gets respect for the songs he writes he's happy. Maybe his fans are older now and they buy albums not singles, but I'm glad I've been out and got this one, especially the one with the video on!!

I love the song and the video is hilarious. Does anyone know when the single will be released?

I'm not a huge fan, but I do like Mark Owen a lot. He did the BRMB Party In The Park last year and was excellent. It was great that he sang live (and really well) - which most of the artists didn't do!! And he's there again this year. Will look forward to seeing him again

I hope he has lots of success cause he works hard, is professional, wipes the floor with some of todays "new" artists, and is an all round nice person.

Have to say though, I haven't heard his new song as yet When's it out?? Has it already gone to radio?

The single is out NOW!! Was released on Monday (7th June).

I think this is really unfair on Mark as he's not had much airplay - everyone loves the song but hardly hear it or know when its out. I think Capital have got behind it quite a bit and people like Heart FM etc and I've requested it locally. Radio 1 are a waste of time cos they only play the same 10 songs all day long and they have to be r n' b else they don't stand a chance anyway.

I agree with you cybergirl about the video - its really funny. Directed it himself in fact. Its on CD2. CD1 has a great bonus track Good For Me which I would have liked as a double A side really. His voice is very sexy when he sings low like that! Could turn a girls head.

Hope people will support him - he's doing loads of signings this week too, so you could get a copy signed. He's very nice in the flesh I can assure you!!

Mark's official site has announced tour dates for March/April up and down the country.

I'm pitching up at Fibbers in York. All to coincide with releasing his new album How The Mighty Fall (Makin' Out was first single from it) on March 28th.

See his official site for list of dates and venues.

That's so annoying. I'm a big fan of Darren Hayes, and he's had the same problem. The second single from his album, The Tension and The Spark, had it's release date put back because the song wasn't getting any airplay. Seems you have to be in a boy band, or Natasha Bedingfield to get your music played on radio these days.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I've just booked tickets for Mark's show at the Birmingham Academy. I hardly know any of his songs, but I saw him performing a lot over the summer at various Party In The Parks, and he was great.

Mark has some amazing new material to perform from his 3rd album which is out 28th March. I cant reiterate just how great a performer he is. If you get the chance to go, then please do.
