Hi,

I am trying to do a software update on my Humax. It is currently running version PGXTF 1.00.08. Autonatic update says that ver 1.00.23 is available.

When I do auto update it will sit there for a few minutes on the Loader Version a4.09 screen and then comes up with an error message ( Error Code E-OS) .

Does anyone have any suggestions.

How do I do a manual update? When I click on it it asks for channel and Frequency?

The first thing to do is to check if the software for the 9200 is being broadcast see http://www.dtg.org.uk/industry/download_schedule.php. It isn't, so nothing will make it work. Wait until it is being broadcast and then try again.

Apologies the email sent earlier gave two of the dates for the OAT's as being June this should have read July as below.

Following my last email about software updates for the Freeview PVR's I just thought I would drop you a quick line to inform you that they are currently being transmitted again.

You may have already received the updated version .23 as it has already been broadcast twice for all the models, but if you have not yet received it is broadcasting again on the following dates:-

PVR-9150T, 14th - 16th of July
PVR-9300T, 16th - 19th of July
PVR-9200T, 4th - 8th of August
PVR-9300T, 9th - 11th of August
PVR-9150T, 11th - 13th of August
The August dates are subject to changes that are out of our control, but the ability to track these dates and any subsequent changes is available here

Does anybody now if my hummy is unlikely to detect the update automatically (even though I've selected that option) because I'm a 9200T owner with the (- - : - -) clock problem? If so, what times during those dates should I try to do so manually?

I intend to have a go at the impressive solution posted by Big-Les at some point (perhaps not before the 4 August though) but am still not sure I can do it!

OAD updates start at 10am on the first date and finish 9am on the second.

Choose Automatic Update from the Software Update menu: that way it will look on all the multiplexes.

(Rather confusing terminology for what is basically a manually instigated operation.)

If there's anything you're not sure about just ask, it'll be worth it to get your Hummy fully working again. Use the right type of screwdriver for the screws and take care.
