I don`t know if this will help at all but i had the same problem only with a sky remote(i`m guessing vision boxes are same sort of thing).I had to go to the interactive option then to services, from there just followed the onscreen prompts. Hope this helps, if not just ignore me

Exactly the same thing happened to my remote - although it was only just over a year old, I decided to replace it. Got a brand new black one for a tenner from a well known auction site, and it works perfectly.

is seems to be a problem with all vision remotes. The rubber buttons "sweat" and stop the contact with the board. Amost the same effect as spilling a drink over the remote.
Its easy to fix. Remove the battery cover and take out the screw thats there. Get a flat object and prize the remote open round the sides. Then i think there are a couple of more screws to undo. Wipe under the rubber buttons and the board. Put it all back together and the remote will work for another year. Easy |
