I am getting constant 'hard drive error' on out of warranty 9200T. Tried various fixes, format , initialise, without success.Have fitted it in a PC and intend to reformat it ( as suggested somewhere in an old post). If so would it then work in the PVR ( different formatting, loss of Humax OS). Would a download via 9pin connector restore these. Any suggestions appreciated, Regards , Mike

Reformat it in the PC (do a full format not a quick format) then use chkdsk to see if there are any bad sectors. If there are then the disk should be replaced. If there are no bad sectors put it back in the Humax and the first time the Humax boots it will offer to format it. The Humax software is stored in NVRAM so there is nothing to restore.

Many thanks for your expert advice. I will do that and then refit the drive to the Humax if it checks out OK. Regards , Mike
