Hi-Fi that reads MP3 CDRs
Does anyone have any specific suggestions to which hi-fi I should buy that can read CDRs of MP3s? Ideally I want one that also has a tape deck.

Sony do a cd changer holding 400 cds that will play MP3s on cd, (as well as cd's etc). However you might not need that many spaces...

Most of the ones that have a DVD instead of just a CD inbuilt. Some just have a DVD and tuner but some have a tape as well, AFAIK.

I would buy a standalone DVD player and add that to your hi-fi gear.

Just had a look at www.richersounds.com and they have quite a few standalone CD players that play MP3.
Cheapest is about £19.99 for a DVD player or £49.99 for a "proper" CD player. Depends how good your audio sound quality needs to be. |

I really do need a little hi-fi thing though because I'm going to university and I won't have the room. I currently have seperates and a mixing deck but I can't take it with me and don't really want to.
I really would like to buy that Ebay ^^ item but I'm getting all confused about audio output. It says 2 x 20 watts which means nothing to me and trying Kelkoo it seems to vary so much. It's only going to be a little room but at the same time I'm quite fussy about sound. Would 2 x 20 watts be enough? Is it good/bad/average for a hi-fi of that kind? I know I should test in a shop really but the model isn't done any more and it's quite a cheap price I don't wanna let it go. |

This one seems to be ideal for you...
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=1751&productId=92271&Trail=C$cip=12724>C$cip=12741>C$cip=12746&categoryId=12746 It is a lot more powerful than the ebay one (80w *2 rms), and should be more than enough for your needs. It will cost you £139-99 which includes delivery, and is cheaper than the one on ebay which would total £145. You could also pick it up at your local store (you can check stock on the site). Also, if you don't like it for any reason you are covered by the Argos 16 day guarantee. If you pay by credit card e.g. barclaycard, nationwide, you will also get an extra 1 year guarantee if you register the product. |
