It is said in RTDs book that they (the BBC) were not allowed to lie. Yes they can be economical with the facts but actually saying the complete opposite to what they plan to do is lying...and according to RTD the BBC cannot do that to the british public...or anyone else for that matter.

Additionally, Matt Smith has said he LOVES playing the doctor - I don't expect him to leave after just one series.

Me too, he's fantastic in the role

The press will often fire questions at actors just to see what response they get.

An actors best option is usally to say nothing, the tv company involved will take care of press releases and the press know that. But they can't resist poking around hoping to get an exclusive bit of info.
