Yes. That resolution discussion was strange.

As for drag and drop - EWW.

The communcation between iTunes (apps and songs) and the iPhone is key.

Look on most devices that are drag and drop and I see each artist listed 6 times (some with Beatles, The Beatles, beatles, the beatles, The beatles, the Beatles) because people can't be bothered to consolidate artist names and albums. It can get very messy.

I find iTunes fantastic, easy, clean and it makes it very simple to organise and sync my music an data.
i've never understood this idea that dragging and dropping is somehow better / easier than following these complicated steps :

1. connect iPod / iPhone to computer.
2. there is no 2.

Much better to find it amusing when not having enough cellular matter to understand or further the subject?

Anyway alternative thoughts on the matter.

that article simply questions the point at which the (typical) human eye might stop to differentiate any difference as resolution is increased.

it certainly doesn't say anything about higher resolutions being less legible than lower resolutions.

and they did say :

"It's a great display, most likely the best mobile display in production."

Could be why they are alternative thoughts. That thought is that it is just more marketing gumpf.'.
Thus it does not suggestion there that pixels are too small to see one apart from the other,

And yes it is a very good SIP display.
I would only have a personal preference for a Super AMOLED because it is meant to work better outdoors.

Happily we've had many years since Gutenberg to establish the link between DPI and sharpness/legibility in reading material constructed from tiny elements.

Or there's always aliens and that.

That is such a misrepresentation of comparing file transfer of the iphone and (say) the desire, that I barely know where to begin. How about the fact that I can transfer files to or from my Desire with any computer.

Can we just agree that, purely in terms of image quality, the higher the resolution the better, but at a certain point the improvement is impossible for the human eye to perceive. I would say that with the Desire and the iPhone we are practically there. Having pixels which are too small to be seen as individual pixels is actually the ultimate aim of a screen.

a) Not everyone has Windows or a Mac.
b) iTunes for Windows, like everything else Apple has made for it, is a buggy, bloated ton of excrement. I think it takes my relatively fast PC 30 seconds to load up and then a bit longer to find my iPod.
c) What's the purpose of iTunesHelper?

Compare this to:
1) connect phone to computer
2) open drive and go to correct folder
3) transfer files to or FROM the phone
4) there is no 4.
