Is it me or are there no decent game players this year?

I only have the HLs to go on, so perhaps it just hasn't come across, but for a bunch of HMs who I initially thought were intelligent, they all seem to be pretty dumb when it comes to the game itself. All the strategy we've seen seems to be very one dimensional and based on some pretty flimsy logic.

So are there any Dans/Dr Wills/Danielles in there or are they truly as bad as they seem on TV?

Matt was going STRONG up until recently. I still think he's the stand-out so far though.

Nope, you're right, there aren't any decent game players, just like last year. Matt is in fact one of the worst, he thought acting paranoid was a good move to take suspicion off him, instead it got everyone worried that he was hiding something,

.

It just seems to be so hard to find good game players these days.

ermm, its barely the second week! If someone appears to be a great gameplayer week 2, that means they will soon be ousted. TOo early to make game moves at this point.

THe only good thing Ive seen so far, are the Brigade crew. Yeah they were cheesy choosing their names and stuff like that. I dont care about all that. WHat matters is what they do in the game. So far, no one in the house think they are in an alliance. Theyve managed to convince people that its too early to have alliances, so thats good, and they were able to avoid the block altogether initially, even though the nominated Rachel and her showmance last week. So, so far, they are doing alright, lets see what happens next! I'll judge them on how they handle Matt on the block and if they can save him. And how they would handle, having the HoH next time.

I think the Brigade are playing a pretty decent game so far. Hayden somehow managed to convince Rachel not to nominate him, or the Brigade, or "the girl he likes" so I think some are playing a decent game. Matt's paranoia was a bit of an idiotic move though.

Yeha I dont know what that was all about, and why he thought it would be a great idea. SO you have to put that strictly on his idiocy! He wasnt even on the radar before.

I agree up to a point, but you can usually tell if someone is a good player based on what they tell you in the Diary Room. From what we've seen so far, there seems to be very little awareness of the game.

Ragan is perhaps the most perceptive, but he has yet to make a solid alliance, and this has thrown up question marks to other housemates, especially Lane and Enzo.

Lane is playing a good game so far. Very under-the-radar, gets on well with everyone, has the brigade alliance which no-one really knows about yet, and even if the brigade were exposed I think he would be the last one from that group to be targeted anyway. The only person I think would target him is Andrew.

There are no players who want to stir it up though, or rock the boat. There was Annie, but she talked herself out of the house on week one! And there's no-one in the same league as Will/Danielle/Dan yet, but that's rare anyway.

Yeah, fair enough that it is only week 2, so perhaps we wouldn't expect to see a great player emerge yet. But normally by now there are alliances formed (both large groups and smaller two people alliances), and from their discussions and what is said in the DR, you can usually tell which people have some clue about the game. But this year, the only real alliance we've seen has been the 'Brigade'.

Hahaha. When she popped up during the eviction show to give her vote, I didn't have a clue who she was!
