HELP! Blackberry 8520 users (Virgin Mobile)
Hi
For some reason, since I got my number ported over i cannot access my emails or get online. The only thing working is the blackberry messenger. Typical messages that come up are: ‘Your device has a problem connecting to the server’ ‘There is insufficient network coverage’ I’ve contacted Virgin mobile and they’ve said it will take one of their technical team up to 3 days to contact me!? – which is not helpful to me at all since the reason I got this blackberry was for precisely what I got it for!! Anyone else experience this or have any solutions? |

Sounds silly but is BIS / BES enabled on the account? either GPRS or 3G in uppercase? The fact you can't use wifi would sound like the blackberry end isn't setup correctly.
If you go to "manage connections" and select "mobile network options" and then press the blackberry button and select "diagnostics test" and then blackberry button again and "run". What messages do you get in the "blackberry reg, connected and PIN-PIN"? |

jon41:...wait a second...i think that might be it. I took the battery out and put it back in and i now have GPRS in capital letters (before it was in lower case) - and bingo..everythings just pinged into place...i've been flooded with all my emails etc and reloading my twitter etc...
I'm in luv with my blackberry again! lol |

I'm having the same problem after porting my number onto my Virgin contract, but after removing the battery the gprs is still lower case and I still cannot access the internet. Virgin say that because I the number has changed I need to change my internet settings but I haven't got a clue what this means or how to do this. Could anyone help?
Thanks. |
