Guideplus not updating
My Guideplus (via ITV1) on my Philips HDRW720 has stopped getting programmes as of Thursday this week. All seems normal (and after five years I know the machine's little foibles). Anyone else? I am in London so DSO should not hit it yet.

Might be a temporary technical fault, which are known to happen.
Contact the Guideplus helpline for further information. Or you could try unplugging the unit and replugging, after half an hour or so,and see if it updates then. Or try guided setup again,if all else fails, and you're sure that there's no technical fault. |

Guideplus not updating - solution
The problem became one where the Guideplus would uodate erratically, leaving huge gaps, then adding certain channels on certain days. Tried complete reinstal etc with all the hassle that entails but to no avail.
Then I went into the manual tuning on the HDRW720 and tweaked the ITV analogue. Picture looked fine, and exactly the same as before, but that seems to have done the trick. Guideplus now fully populated for the first time in more than a month. Analogue reception on BBC2 and C4 been getting worse, presumably due to tall buildings going up in the City, which is between me and Crystal Palace. |
