I'm sure certain fellow Whovians will probably still object to this thread...but not only is this about a previous Doctor, it is also connected with the show....so...well who cares whether you think this is the right place for it!

Anyway Congrats to DT for the award....for his performance in Waters of Mars.....

Feel sad that COE lost out though.....

Why would Matt want David's award???? Surely you must feel he is more than is more than capable of winning his own now.....

If this isn't the right place for news about an actor playing Doctor Who wining an award for playing Doctor Who then I don't know where is

No. I don't read the Showbiz forum - I didn't know there was one, but I am interested when actors who formerly played the Doctor win awards for DW episodes. Or anything DW related.

If CE won a (belated) award for, say, Dalek, I would consider it relevant to this forum.

Did you ask this question, btw, when there was a thread on CE playing Lennon?

You don't have to read all the threads, you know. If it doesn't interest you, you can give it a miss.

Still less do you have to post if you have nothing constructive to say.

I'll post as I see fit, it's not your place to police the forum and its certainly not your place to decide what is and isn;t constructive. By your own criteria I see no reason why you had to respond to my post...you dont have to read all the posts after all, if they dont interest you. And surely making an unconstructive post such as you did about what you deemed to be an unconstructive post in the first place is the most unconstructive thing of all?!

I don't touch the shobiz forum with a barge pole...so the only way I woule ever know the likes of David winning an award for well Doctor Who will be funnily enough in a Doctor Who forum...so my logic told me that this was the best place for it...hey well you live and learn....

Anyway...to talk about other apart from that actor who was the Doctor for four years.....I really do feel its a shame that COE didn't win....I think that was it in the last round of votings for things that aired last year....oh actually no it isn't we still have the Airlock Alpha awards...fingers crossed for that!

You are right. I never usually reply to your posts and I never will again. So I'll never find out if you objected to the CE thread or if its just the mention of DT that annoys you. But I don't really care anyway. Bye!

I know. I thought CoE was the best thing on TV last year. Even better than the DW specials which felt a bit flat for me.

Actually this is excellent news and we should celebrate it and be pleased about it for Doctor Who and David.

Well done, he really deserved it, his performance in Waters of Mars was amazing!

Not till the one about Frazer Hines does, no.

and besides which he won the award for his role in Doctor Who so to even try and claim it isn't relevant here is actually rather pathetic.

A constellation award?

In the ranking of awards does that not rank slightly below the fictional Friends award the Soapy?

Might be worth pointing out that that green smiley thing is there to indicate that the post that has been made is in some way funny.

Just thought I'd point it out as certain posters seem to use it a lot for some desperately unfunny posts.......

People can we not just stop the bickering. David won an award for playing Doctor Who. Surely any Doctor Who fan should be pleased that Doctor Who is still winning awards.

Let's celebrate, it means Doctor Who is still liked and might go on, no hiatus. I'm sure Matt and the new team will win awards as well, and then we should celebrate that.
