Since Drew died she's not really done much, so no big loss.

That's always the way in soaps - if one of them leaves the other one has nothing to do (Phil and Kate, and Little Mo and Billy in Eastenders, Judy and Gary in Corrie, etc).
If only she quit while she was stil married to Drew - would have samed him from dying.

Rubbish good soaps manage to cope with this sort of things.
The only thing is that the actress has taken a lot of time off.
EE is utter rubbish so you can't compare it with Neighbours.

exactly, and remember that EE was replaced with Hollyoaks in NZ, where the BBC can't shamelessly plug their stupid soap, I mean it's not like they've got EE actors coming in on kids' TV to get them use to the program while they're still easily influenced,or EE trailers over the end credits of Neighbours...
You're right you only need to look at the ratings, it's like the music charts you only need to have a look at them to find out what's good and what's trash.

Neighbours is PATHETIC, even compared to Eastenders. It should be dropped. You actually like that music between the scenes? And the way that there is a complete cast turnover every year? You have to watch every ep to know who anyone is.

yes, the music is good, if it wasn't it wouldn't be used in films, only a rubbish UK soap doesn't use incidental music, that's why they're doing so badly overseas.
Sometimes there are new characters, big whoops.

In all fairness, characters like Harold, Lou, Karl & Susan Kennedy, Toadie, have all been around for a good while, It's true that Neighbours has a higher turnover of actors than English soaps, but that helps keep it fresh.

I think she's about to come back to Erisborough in person and becomes friends with Sindi, and has issues with Izzy and Karl. I don't know if I should have made that into a spoiler thing but I don't know how to do it!

i always maintain that the arrival of the scully's in 1999/2000 was a big mistake. Then they went and brought the hancocks in soon after.

The Scullys are soon to be no longer at this rate. Jack is leaving, so that will only leave Valda, Lynn the interferer and her little kid.

The Hancocks were taken out quickly because they bombed.
