Has anyone upgraded 3GS to 4? Would you say it's worth it?

Once the handsets are back in stock next month I am looking at the option of selling my 3GS (32gb and factory unlocked) and then taking o2's early upgrade option to get the 32gb iPhone 4. With the prices as they are today this would cost me £87 using o2recycle.

If I were to sell the 3GS on eBay or locally I could probably get the 4 from o2 at no cost to myself, other than locking into a new contract.

IF, and this is the decider, IF apple resolve the antenna problems with the update I think I will go for it but thought I would ask your opinions too, especially those who have went 3GS to 4.

Simply put, is it worth it?

Does your current iPhone do everything you want it to?
If so, then no, upgrading isn't worth it surely?
In your position i'd probably sign up to an iPhone simplicity deal from O2 (or similar from another network) and carry on until the phone malfunctioned or I broke it.

Unless you want the better camera with HD video recording I wouldn't bother. The iPhone 4 was way faster than the 3G but it's probably only twice as fast as the 3GS if even that. If I had a 3GS I would wait till the iPhone 5 comes out.

I upgraded from 3GS to 4, and love it. I haven't really been affected by the signal issues, if anything, the signal on the iPhone 4 is better for me.
The screen alone makes it worth it for me. It's jaw dropping.

Thanks for the input.

Yes the 3GS does everything I need and I've had a play with a 4, I would go as far as saying it's not noticeably faster.

I rarely use the camera, it's not a feature I've used on any phone.

The screen does look fantastic, I always thought the 3GS screen was good until I saw the 4. That said the 3GS screen is good enough.

I'm in no rush to change really, it's more a case of ooh I can.

Plenty time to think about it, got another month until I could get it and hopefully by then ios4.1 will be out and will have resolved the current niggles.

Hate decisions. I know I don't need it and I love my 3GS, but it's one of those daft irrational things!

I only had the 3G so can't say if I would have upgraded to the 4.0 if I had the 3GS. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of difference between them on paper. One of the main reasons I upgraded early from the 3G to 4.0 was because of space, I needed more memory. I wouldn't have done it for specs/features alone as I was very happy with the 3G. However now that I have the iPhone 4.0 the 3G seems like a relic in comparison !! And I'm so glad that I upgraded.

You might be able to get one from an 02 store. That's how I got mine because they were out of stock online.

I think when O2 came up with the deadline, I don't think they were quite prepared for scarcity of the iPhone.

According to the online advisor I spoke to this morning you only need to commit to the early upgrade before the 24th, you dont need to actually go ahead with it before then.
