One number two sims

Is it possible to have have the same mobile number on two different sims?

Orange Business allows this. But it's not all that clever.

The Orange business service gives you two SIMs, the second one actually has another number which is used for texts. Outgoing calls on both phones show the same number and inbound calls go from the first phone to the second should the first be unavailable.

I personally just use call divert to divert one phone to another, just means i don't get texts on the times I use my second phone... But that's the same on Orange's two SIM idea.
