No Network Coverage in new phone

My wife recently had the sony ericsson Vivaz but didn’t like it.
She sold it on ebay and with the money bought a Nokia N95

She had put her sim card in and her contacts have all gone into the phone fine but she keeps getting a message saying No Network Coverage.

She is on O2 and the Nokia is locked to O2 – anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
Would she need a different sim for the Nokia N95?

Any help is greatly appreciated

ive managed to sort it.
think the phone was just adapting to the new sim
