Did anyone here Chris Evans apparently drop Johnny Saunders in it this morning by saying Johhny was going to be on SCD.

You could hear the floor open up and Swallow him, while Chris was back tracking like mad.

Radio 2 sports reporter, so I know what he sounds like but have no idea what he looks like as I suppose will lots of others. Comes across as a nice chap.

What age and height is he? (here comes the working out of which of the pro girls he'd get). I think the only one he's guaranteed not to get is Ola - she had the not very famous but very likeable sports reporter last year, and who knows, if she got another one, she just might win again - and the BBC wouldn't have someone defending their title!

I have to say I've never heard of him before in my life, even through being forced to listen to Radio 2 at work until fairly recently! The page also tells us he's 35 and 6'3".

So that would make him a contender for Natalie Lowe perhaps? Or maybe Erin?

Ok so only Natalie or Erin then!!! Or at a push Katya or Aliona who are both about 5'8 or 5'9 in heels....

I get where you're coming from, but then he does reach an audience of about 8 million listeners (probably more than Chris Hollins reaches on BBC Breakfasat) every morning so people could be very familiar with him without actually having seen him, and if he does do SCD then we'll soon get used to what he looks like.

oooh that would be great.......he wont be well known ofcourse I had never heard of him until I started listening to Chris Evans breakfast show but he would be great.....he is quite tall, sporty and seems like a lovely guy........as the previous poster says Chris Evans Breakfast Show gets the biggest audience ever on British radio so quite a few people will know who he is.

Every week they have a sporting challenge where Chris and Johnny go head to head this is the video of the gymnastics week which was very funny and show Johnny is not afraid of a bit of sparkly lycra

Natalie is the tallest female pro but a few other tall celebs have been rumoured so she could get one of those, but it will probably be out of her, Erin and Katya.

I think he sounds a lovely guy - and he looks nice too - as you say sporty etc. (Hope that won't make him like Mark (the swimmer) - all gangly etc) .

I dont particularly care if the celebs are people who are not very well known at the beginning, I had never heard of Gethin before series 5 and boy have I made up for that !!!!! I think Jonny is quite competative he gets upset when Moira beats him on head to headlines !! oooohhhhh we should have Moira too that would be double fabulous.

I've got to say!.. 'he looks a bit of a nerd to me!...' the way he keeps putting his face at a strange angle and not saying anything!... hopefully when he's not in chris 'shadow' he will be better.....

Hopefully!! I hope he does well - but you never know - he could be awful. He is very competitive though.

Well all I'm saying is if he comes across well, has a bit of rhythm and can dance okish, put your money on him quick

I don't think he'd be like Rav either (who for some reason I really took against last year ) as he doesn't appear to be quite as bulky, not being able to cross your legs because they're too muscly is not a great start for ballroom dancing.

Rav seemed an odd choice from the beginning, because he had form for quitting reality shows in a sulk halfway through. You'd think that'd be the first thing you'd check, even if it was a crappy Channel 4 "sexy young people in the jungle" thingy.

Jonny Saunders went to the same Uni and college as me, therefore I have to root for him, even though he is the least famous person ever to appear on the show (/television at all ever). Except maybe Jason Wood.

I reckon he may technically be the least famous, but I reckon the demographic for the Radio 2 breakfast show and SCD are likely to have a pretty big crossover so I think he'll bring a bigger fanbase to the show than some will give him credit for. Also if he's in for a while, he'll have the benefit of talking about it every day to a large BBC audience which never seems to do anyone's popularity any harm.

That's quite interesting as i never knew that. Perhaps a good thing he didn't get further then he did.

I listen to him when he does Chris, comes across as a funny, genuine guy and knows his stuff when it comes to sport, and he is sitll in work (always important to me) so thats pretty much a first confirmed celeb, as well as felicty kendell who was pictured by the daily fail leaving the gym, judging from these two I am quite impressed ha!...
