Loving this app. I'm a regular visitor to the BBC mobile site but I'm will definitely be using this app from now on. I love that the sideways scrolling allows you to read all the headlines from all the different topics, all from the one screen.

We just need a digitalspy news app now (although the new mobile site is a vast improvement)

The BBC News app works really well on the iPad too and makes good use of the larger screen.

There's me wondering when an iplayer app will be available and all I needed to do was go to BBCiplayer on safari and add it to home screen

I'd given up hope on the BBC News app ever being released as it was due months ago.

Installed it this morning on my iPod touch and am very impressed so far-- the News 24 video stream works perfectly (using wifi of course), and the text of all the stories in every section is cached so they can be read when away from a wifi connection - by far the most important feature for a news app on the iTouch. As the Sky News app is totally unusable without a net connection, I've ditched it in favour of the BBC News app.

They have to be approved by the BBC Trust too. But as the News one has been approved I can't see how these won't be... unless the trust say to save costs they can merge the News and Sport apps.
