Itunes network/internet connection problem since downloading v.9

Anyone care to help me with this?

I've recently took the plunge to upgrade to Itunes version 9.2.1 and since then I've never been able to connect to the itunes store or update the latest version of my iphone (to v.4.0)

It always says...

iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The network connection was refused.

Make sure your network settings are correct and your network settings are active, then try again.
This is always the same with newer versions of itunes. I have to go back to around version 9.1 before it works again. This happens everytime I download the latest version.

I've Norton 360 installed but now I don't use it and in my other firewall, i've selected it to 'allow itunes'

When I run Itunes diagnostics it identifies 'secure link failed' but internet connection is fine. This tells me it's something to do with Norton.

Anything I can do? Uninstall Norton?
