Nice too hear different 80's music without the normal stuff we hear in the playlist. Have to sound different. I do like all 80's music.
Only a few songs in the show will be out of normal playlist. Sorry.

Does anyone know if Jason will be live on Sunday evenings or will it be pre-recorded?

No, more upbeat, no love songs etc.
Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man
John Legend - All Of Me
Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You
Passenger - Let Her Go
Aerosmith - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing

All played today on the love song-free, upbeat Feel Good Friday. Come on Terry, just admit it mate, you're full of bluff and bull!!

Well that's not really fair is it?!

5 songs out of a 16hrs of feel Good Friday, that is much less than the normal day out put. Besides Aerosmith was played in the time tunnel I do believe.

You know as well as I do that there are much less slow songs (love songs) on a Friday.

Just a selection, and some of those were played more than once! It wasn't me that said 'no love songs'!

Whoops! The 'I'm in the know when it comes to what goes inside Global Towers' facade gets dealt another blow. Must be embarrassing for you!

Terry I request you to stop posting in discussions you clearly have no knowledge about. Not only are you making yourself very silly you are making statements which aren't always true. Yes I know this is only Digital Spy but incorrect comments or assumptions can be damaging.

Thank you Smart on behalf of all of us
I hope Terry now shuts up ( and I'm kicking myself as I know who it is now !)
Sadly I think he's done more harm than good to the brand with his posts
Wishing you a good weekend 😄

Ok I will no longer comment or post on here as you feel my comments are damaging.

Oh don't be so dramatic!

Nobody is saying don't ever post - there is just a school of thought shared by several contributors that you should ditch the pretense of knowing what goes in inside the Global corridors of power when very clearly you don't. There are those posting here that genuinely do and you'll always end up looking.....how shall I put it......a bit of a d**k. I'm not really sure why you feel the need to do it anyway? Who are you trying to impress?

You don't need to stop posting, you just need to drop the bull***t!

Sorry Jon but I for one wouldn't be sorry to see the back of him
He has caused no end of trouble on the Global threads
When anyone has challenged him politely several of us have been subjected to torrents of abuse
If that doesn't work and people carry on posting he then crys foul and posts go
In his eyes if someone doesn't agree with him they are fair game
I'm sick of his supercilious gloating patronising comments
I come on here for debate and conversation not for confrontation
People are sick of him

Hello everybody,I'm new on this thread. I just want to ask a question, and if anybody knows the answer,I would love to know:

Why does Heart play the same songs every night?

I work nightshift two nights a week and we listen to Heart from about 11pm to 7am.

Bruno Mars - Locked out of Heaven
John Legend - All Of Me
Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I love You
Blurred Lines,Happy,Passenger,etc.

Sometimes we hear these songs two or even three times. Even the oldies are nearly always the same ones:

Natalie Imbruglia,Starship,Bryan Adams,Coolio,Debarge,Boy Meets Girl,Tainted Love,Take On Me,Fast Car,Don't You Want Me,etc.

Since Heart took over from Real Radio in Scotland,I've hardly heard a Girls Aloud record. I don't think I've ever heard the Saturdays,Atomic Kitten,Howard Jones,Nik Kershaw,Spice Girls,Stereo MCs,The Shamen,KLF, Talking Heads,The Police (except of course,Every Breath You Take). I could go on. I don't think I've even heard a Kylie record. I've never heard a Cheryl Cole record, even her recent No1. Maybe I've just been listening at the wrong time.

Some of the guys on our shift now listen to their own music on headphones,so fed up are they of the constant repetition and limited playlist. And yet it's "More Music Variety."
Yes,they play records from the eighties and nineties as well as current hits, but why does it always have to be the same ones? The Time Tunnel at 2am is sometimes good but even then they often use the same records, like if it's 1988,they'll play Boy Meets Girl, Yazz.or Belinda Carlisle. Why not play a record that we don't normally hear?

You might be wondering why we listen to Heart. Well,it's because where we work,it's the only station we can get with half decent reception.

I would welcome any answers to my questions from anybody.

Thank You

A Frustrated Heart Listener

Hi Sarah
Welcome to the thread as a female can I ask do you find other than a problem with the music played at the times you mention is it the right station for you ??

Do you strictly fit to the station demographic and what part of the country are you in ??
I only ask as from reading posts on the Global threads some areas seem to have more problems with the Heart and Smooth stations than others

Thank you for your reply.

As I said, with the radio we've got at the moment,it's the only station for me. It's the only one we can get that has decent reception. We should probably club together and buy a digital radio.

Despite my name,I'm not a female. My username is in honour of Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud, soon to be seen in the BBC's gymnastics show Tumble.

Incidentally, although it sounds like a made up comedy dinosaur name, sarahsaurus is actually the name of a real dinosaur.

I'm male,in my mid forties. In Scotland. I daresay I don't fit the station demographic, which I think I somebody on this thread said was female,25-39.

I would love to hear some stock, aitken and waterman stuff like mel and kim, hazel dean, donna summer, bananarama also some alternative madonna, whitney and prince tracks that aren't usually played but I'm not holding out any hope it will be the same stuff they play 24/7

I would like to hear some stuff like that too but it seems the only Whitney record they've got is I Wanna Dance With Somebody.

And as for Madonna it's Papa Don't Preach,True Blue or Like A Prayer. You never hear Borderline,Cherish,Dress You Up,Angel,Gambler,Who's That Girl,Causing A Commotion,Rescue Me,Take A Bow,Ray Of Light,Beautiful Stranger,Don't Tell Me,Hung Up..well.you get the idea,
