I cant help laughing when Toby gets calls or tweets claiming to be from new listeners saying how they've switched from another station as they were fed up, they say how amazing heart is, wait till they have heard it for a few weeks and hear how repetitive it is !!!

Last night at work if I remember correctly, the first four records played on the 1am show on our favourite "More Music Variety" station were Debarge,Blurred Lines,Candi Staton's You Got The Love and guess what,John Legend,"All of Me." If I had a tenner for every time I've heard that record on Heart,I could probably afford to take a month off work.

I don't know what was played after that, because at that point Heart got gonged off and we managed to get Forth 1 on the radio instead. it is an improvement on Heart. You do still have to put up with a fair amount of Bruno Mars and Olly Murs, but at least you aren't listening to the same records every night.

Do they tell him what they are up to in their original calls or tweets ??
Or maybe they have to tweet again so as to keep his numbers up 😄
Strangely not heard a thing on the show re the punters who are giving up

I sometimes listen to forth on my internet radio
As you say not a bad station at all
I appreciate it is a part of a network but thankfully still small enough to not be a clone

Is Roberto now the permanent host to Club Classics on a Saturday night? What happened to Steve Denyer, he hasn't been dirvetime for westmids recently so I would have assumed he was on holiday or something but the website had been updated to show Roberto on Saturday nights! http://www.heart.co.uk/london/on-air/

Funnily enough I was looking into this, this afternoon as I was curious as to where Steve is and he is currently on the Queen Elizabeth cruise ship he is currently in Venice

According to the schedule page Steve is due back on heart West Midlands on Monday so assuming he's still going to be on club classics I'd expect him to be on, on Saturday 13th Steve is still listed for Saturday club classics here: http://www.heart.co.uk/on-air/club-classics/

So presenters take a few weeks off and others step in and everyone thinks they have left.

I think it's more the fact the the heart website now says this

"Club Classics With Roberto
What does your Saturday night have in store? Share your evening with Roberto as he gets you ready for the best night of the week! Saturday 9pm-1am." http://www.heart.co.uk/on-air/ - about half way down the page

Lets hope Steve is back soon, his stand in on Heart Drivetime West Midlands is really not up to scratch. Angela Jay really needs to up her game to head up a prime time slot.

I think as others have said Steve looks to be on holiday at the moment. I had presumed that Roberto had now inherited the Saturday night slot to compensate for loosing his Sunday to Jason Donovan's new show ?

The Global stations have a habit of never letting on a presenter has even gone
But whereas Hearts website will often have old info on it for several weeks it's the exact opposite with its sister station Lbc
Before the presenters chair has even got cold all mention of their existence on the station has disappeared faster than you can say magic circle
In the case of Kay Burley it's been several weeks since she last presented her Sunday show and nobody has publicly admitted she's no longer there

It's seems Steve Denyer is returning to Midlands Drive next week. Possibly Global are saving money on travel expenses for those who need to broadcast there shows from London. BBC did have too cut back or relocate there staff instead of travel expenses.

She's been a constant breakfast presenter for years on Real South Wales, Heart North West and North Wales before leaving when she got married.

The schedule page only goes to the 12th which is next Friday, though the radio times has Roberto on next Saturday

They have to travel to London possibly that is the reason and cost cutting.

Never understood that. Why not just broadcast from the regional studio instead of travelling to London? Their setup would allow it.

What's it got to do with cost-cutting? Presumably as a freelancer Steve would have to make his own way to London. And even if Steve's travel expenses were paid for, I can't imagine over a year it was a substantial amount of money.

There's seems to be a lot of speculation over one show that is broadcast very off-peak once a week. Perhaps Heart decided to freshen up the show. That's it, no more sinister than that.

It is quite amusing how the presenters keep bigging it up, "You can win a hundred grand, just phone up!"

I've looked at all the wrong answers, there was nearly a hundred names, and that's just the ones beginning with A! God knows how many there is on the whole list. Some of these people I've never even heard of.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's still going by Christmas, unless they start giving out hints.

For anybody who is fed up with Who's on Heart, look up "Who's on first", the classic Abbot and Costello baseball sketch on Youtube.

it must have been incredibly difficult to learn but when performed by two comedians at the top of their game it is of the very highest order of comedy.
