It's indeed a classic and puts me in mind of the Danny Kaye Pellet with the poison sketch from The Court Jester

Dan Mills in for Roberto again tonight.

I'm pretty sure Roberto said on Thursday night something along the lines of "I'll see you tomorrow night from 9 after Mark Wright" So I'm guessing this is a last minute change!

Shame they don't change the playlists. I had it on today for 15 mins during time tunnel. They said a sweedish band next and not ace of base Can you guess. So I thought roxette and must have been love and surprisingly that's what came on lol. So predictable.

The new sung stuff is better but I wish they'd have got a new tag-line. Also the general voiceover hasn't changed so that still sounds stale. Lets hope it isn't 6 or 7 years before the presentation changes again.

Well,it could have been ABBA. They are after all by far the most famous Swedish band ever, and one of the greatest pop acts of all time. But I've never heard an ABBA record on Heart. Real Radio used to play the odd ABBA record (admittedly it was usually Dancing Queen),but since they got taken over by Heart,I've never heard a single one.

ABBA obviously don't fit in with the famous "target demographic."

Incidentally, pub quiz fans,ABBA were not the first all-Swedish band to have a UK No1,because Anni-Frid was Norwegian. It was Europe in 1986 with The Final Countdown.

I think since Global's Takeover of Smooth, certain tracks/artists that you would've heard on both Gold and Heart have now been shifted over. Both Abba and the beatles are featured on Smooth.

Mamma Mia & Dancing Queen have played recently and Super Trouper & The Winner Takes It All are scheduled occasionally too.

Travel news has got a new sound to it, but the hourly news bulletins do not. When the travel is played just before the news it just doesn't sound right!

The song at 7pm came on interrupting the adverts, but was also playing twice, i.e the same song was playing about 5 seconds behind it as well. I think it was Ellie Goulding

Same song got played just before and then after the Who's On Heart just before 4pm on Heart Kent. Well, part of it did, before they eventually cut to ads.

I subscribe to the paid lbc podcasts and I've lost count of how many times technical problems have caused those to be posted late or with sound problems
And I said as did others months ago that Global should not have started network broadcasting on the former GMG stations until such time as they'd sorted out the problems with Capital Lbc and the smaller heart network that they already had at Leicester Squaee
Several months down the line things are no better in fact they seem to be getting worse !
In the GWR days from Bristol prior to their merger with Capital there was seamless switching from local to network so given the advances in digital technology it's surely fair to ask just why is this still occuring ?
There is now in my book no excuse for it happening day in day out
The odd glitch yes but this ???
It makes you wonder what the advertisers make of it all and if they are refunded when their ads are mangled

Was it John Legend, "All Of Me"?

Or Bruno Mars,"Locked Out of Heaven"?

Or Ellie Goulding?

Sorry,I shouldn't. I really shouldn't.

I remember glitches in the days of GWR. One night Ram and Trent couldn't opt into their normal programming - Ram played non stop music (I presume driven locally as adverts still played), Trent carried the "Night-time Oldies" output (and when the presenter went "Here's the number to call" the weather played out). A couple of times I can remember listening to Late Night Love on Ram and there were no adverts - just filler songs and promotion of an 0500 number.

I'm sure there are other examples - particularly Classic Gold I know had problems - some even pre-GWR!

Talking of the technical problems on Heart FM last night Heart North Wales Coast had heart London from 6.30pm on drive time yesterday and there was two songs playing at the same time, I love it when radio goes wrong. Also on Capital FM North Wales Coast at 5 am yesterday they had an hour of ads instead of the welsh language opt out.
