Nomad - Devotion
Nightcrawlers - Push the feeling on
Kym Syms - Too blind to see it
C & C music factory - Gonna make you sweat
Living Joy - Don't stop moving
Bassomatic - Fascinating rhythm
JX - There's nothing I won't do

Just for starters.
All massive hits”

Fascinating Rhythm by Bassomatic is one of my all time favourite records. I've never heard it on Club Classics. Much like the rest of the Heart programming,it tends to be much the same tunes every time- that "Crowd Say Bo Selecta" one,Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent, that Shapeshifters one,I'm A Different Person, and so on. Baby D,Let Me Be Your Fantasy, that seems to crop up a lot as well.

Incidentally, why did the crowd say bo selecta?

Possibly, yeah. The last time I heard Nightcrawlers on Heart it was on my way home from work so quite possibly Club Classics. I get the feeling I've heard Livin' Joy outside of Club Classics, but gun to my head I wouldn't be able to swear on it.

Forget Heart, give this a listen. The bloke who presents this seems to know what he's doing and knows what people want to hear.

As do Global.

Global knows what people want to hear? Sam Smith played over 500 times in the last month on Capital FM,and nearly 300 times on Heart? John Legend's All Of Me,four or five times a day,day after day?

If that really is what people that listen to Global stations want to hear, the same records played over and over again, for months on end,it's a pretty depressing thought.

A mate of mine who previously listened to Real has given in with Heart completely as all they do is play the same songs over and over - since Real went he now has Pulse on when he's driving. One of my other mates use to have Capital on all the time, even he's given in with it and has instead retuned to one of the many Bauer stations between 6pm and 10pm on a Saturday for Graeme Park and 4pm to 7pm on a Sunday for the BT40, at other times its community radio as its sounds more natural rather than forced and robotic.

I wonder if it's the same guy behind these submissions to the Competition Commission?

He is a mate of mine and both myself (my real name being Anthony) and my mates have almost the same style of writing the difference being is that I'll go off on a tangent, Ste doesn't.

I'll field this one.

The terms "BO!" and "SELECTA!" are both individual expressions of satisfaction with a DJ's choice of record. The terms do not necessarily follow on from one another to form "bo selecta" (a myth perpetuated by Avid Merrion's famous parody of Craig David). Each term was common parlance amongst the UK Garage fraternity in the late 90s/early 2000s and would be shouted by members of a dancing crowd (and/or MC) once they recognised a favourite track being mixed into the track being played.

Crowd members would also "BOOO" at a DJ - again a complimentary bit of feedback as opposed to the traditional use of booing.

Repeated BOs, SELECTAs, BOOOs, blowing of horns and whistles and general rowdiness would entice a DJ to "rewind" the track by spinning the vinyl anticlockwise then starting it from the beginning again. For the most popular records, this could happen multiple times once the track reached the point where the bassline kicked in or "hit the drop".

Thank you for your comprehensive answer to my question.

Although I have to say,I still think it seems a pretty silly thing to shout.

Talking of Craig David, that "get on the floor" one, with the David Bowie sample of Let's Dance,I think that's a brilliant record. But it was released in 2007 so I suppose it would be to late to qualify for Club Classics.

I like it a lot more than that Bo Selecta one, anyway.

He also did one with Sting I seem to recall, called "Rise and Fall".

Seems he rarely makes it out of the gym these days:

Yes,it's based on Sting's song "Shape of My Heart",a beautiful song. The late great Larry Adler plays the harmonica part on the record.

Maybe I'll hear that on Heart one day. Instead of Sam Smith or John Legend. Yet again.

Presumably during breakfast and possibly London Drivetime? Though I get the feeling you're being sarcastic anyway

Last night the DJ said something like "And hello to so and so who's listening in Indonesia."

It's quite amusing that Heart are happy to say where listeners are tuning in from,as long as it's a foreign country, but they won't say,"Hello to Dave who's working on the nightshift at Morrison's in Bolton",they just say, "Hello to Dave who's working on the nightshift in Morrisons",in some unspecified place in the United Kingdom.

Can't let the listeners know the overnight show is networked and all the Heart stations are listening to the same show.

Unlike a previous poster, this doesn't bother me,I never text in to hear my name read out,I don't see the point in it.

But I do think the "No locations allowed" rule is quite funny.

They don't really care about being local in the evenings on Capital, Max always starts a link by saying "Its Capital, were live all across the UK.."
