Open Your Heart was the first song played on the overnight show last night. And they did cut the ending.

The other Madonna track played was..Papa Don't Preach.

Heart's copy of True Blue must be nearly worn out by now.

Last night at 1700 heard Heart four counties do a split of the travel news and local bulletin, especially for MK, on 103.3 signing off with "the weather for the new city"

Four weeks ago got reply from Ofcom to my complaint made six months ago that they were in breach of format for frequently broadcasting bulletins , supposedly local, for all four areas, which contained no relevance to MK whatsoever, in the travel or news.

Ofcom replied that they had listened over three days and regarded the output as on the fringes of what is acceptable.

Have I by any chance had some influence, as have never heard them do this before with the travel or the news. ...in which case, maybe if we do complain, maybe it has some effect.

Or maybe I'll tune in tonight and we will be back to where we were.

It really shouldn't be beyond them in the local hours to produce a bulletin for each area, and split the travel with the technology they have, rather than the same output over Herts/Beds/Bucks/ Bedford/ MK/Northampton

Well done you, maybe you be entitled to an average salary of an ofcom employee. Do you not find it's bad that no one in ofcom picked up on this before?

I had noticed this too! I live in Northampton and they seem to mention news relating to Stevenage! That isn't local lol! Glad you have reported this though.

By the way, are they broadcasting 4 counties Heart from MK or Dunstable?

Well Four Counties (but elsewhere as well) went Christmas at 8am.
What made me laugh were that emails and phone calls were deciding on if Christmas tunes would be played. As if.

As to all the black friday nonsense....enough is enough...this is the UK, No Turkey Day on November or Spank up the Overdraft Friday, thank you.

Christmas tunes are an entirely predictable limited set that get trotted out endlessly by most stations every December, you can be that most people will be requesting tunes queued to play that hour.

It'll be interesting to see whether Leona Lewis' "One More Sleep" gets as much support this year as it did last year. Will it become a Christmas classic or will it be forgotten?

Oh really cool I've never heard it on heart, shame it's a brilliant song and I find it hard to believe it doesn't test well ☺

With the tragic news coming out of Bristol this afternoon, Heart West Country changed a lot of the drive time show. News was every 30 minutes and they dropped a lot of the sung jingles and toned the music down.

This happens twice a year on Capital. Summer time ball and at present the jingle bell ball. All stations apart from Capital stations will take the charts. As Marvin works for Capital, Matt covers the show.

The second time that Labrinth record came on at work last night,Heart got gonged off and we turned over to Forth 1 instead.

The DJs rave about what a brilliant and emotional record it is.

Personally,I can't stand it. And it seems to go on for ever.

I can't stand Ellie Goulding's How Long Will I love You either, but at least it's short.
