Something too do with Global in London. Down in the south some songs have been dropping / fading in then out. I think they are upgrading studios whilst on air etc

No this is the feed itself , it's stereo but it's not right sounds like a 64k sound broadcast in stereo , been like this since thus .

They are running FM alongside DAB with upgrading and tests, so the sound possibly will sound slightly different.

Yes but it's only in the East Midlands mutiplexes , nothing to do with the sound dropping out , there is something wrong with the sound it's only Heart , all other stations in the mutiplex are fine .

Toby Anstis and Rich Clarke will be on heart on new years day counting down the top 100 songs from the past 25 years from 10am to 6pm

My guess for the schedule is below assuming local breakfast's will be on as normal

Toby - 10am to 1pm

Rich - 1pm to 4pm

Margherita / Matt / Roberto 4pm to 7pm

Club classics 7pm to 9pm & 9pm to 1am

The other possibility is

Toby - 9am to 12pm

Rich - 12pm to 3pm

Margherita / Matt / Roberto 3pm to 6pm

Club classics 6pm to 9pm & 9pm to 1am

Maybe if the advertisers boycotted Heart and devoted their money to supporting the local Community Stations. That might create a more 'local' atmosphere radio, and be cheaper for the advertisers. Just a thought! I'm not a Heart fan, to much repetition of the same music - little choice. At least we would get a variation of presenters who do not all sound the same, and can talk without a 'prompt script'. Food for thought.

Why should advertisers prop up community stations for little return? It's up to the community stations etc to create a product that people will want to advertise not, not the other way round.

Is the networked news output exclusive to Heart or does it come from another global station?
