Heart confuse me: Maroon 5 - Payphone is played fairly infrequently, and then today they decide to play it twice within an hour.

Assuming that it happened, and that it was during live programming, surely the presenter would spot the error and skip the track?

It was within two different shows, the first time was at around 6:30 on drivetime and second time was at around 7:30 with Roberto.

Chill out mate, for goodness sake, maybe even get out a bit more.

It's hardly a disaster.

Its very sloppy and amateurish!

Had it happened elsewhere, the "yes men" would be using their favourite word "Tinpot"!!

SmartProgrammer said to try the app via the London station bit I couldn't see anywhere to select shows to listen again ?
What tablet do you have? If it's an iPad the listen again option is at the bottom as in this image. It's not there on the iPhone.

Would be good to hear the following songs on local shows Years and Years - King, Jess Glynne - Hold My Hand, Marlon Roudette - When The Best Drops Out.

Need to play Years and Years - King, Jess Glynne - Hold My Hand, Marlon Roudette - When The Best Drops Out.
All of which Global are playing on Capital. Don't forget Heart is all about playing big, familiar, established songs - in the case of Jess Glynne, whilst I don't doubt it will be a pretty big hit, it's probably still relatively unfamiliar to most.

Jess Glynne would be familiar from the two Clean Bandit songs.

They do now and again play songs that are brand new introducing them before there released/are big hits I know it doesn't happen often. The Veronicas, Jessie Ware and The Weekend off the top of my head.

The local shows excluding London are a bit more up to date.

When introducing the Clean Bandit songs, the DJs never mention Jess Glynne as she is not known among many Heart listeners.

The audience may have some recall of Jess as an artist but the point is they will still, in the main, be unfamiliar with the new song. In the same way that many Heart listeners will be aware of Train from 'Drive By' but probably won't know 'Bulletproof Picasso'. The point remains that Global have Capital if they want to be breaking new music early, that is not the prime function of Heart.

Does Heart actually have a prime function?

Giving us more music variety and about 15 minutes of ads every hour

In my experience, Global definitely seems to have more ads then something like Heat or Magic which I would say were musically it's closest rivals.

Only on Club Classics I think, not in daytime peak hours.
I just heard that Time Tunnel too. Donna Lewis, Oasis, Spice Girls. Genuinely took me back.
Brilliant.
