Smart Programmer if Digital Spy posters are now choosing tunes for Heart can I have Propiganda by Duell please? And ACDC shook me all night long.
Its the other way round, but great song, I concur!! Also, in the new "Heart Digital Spy posters request show", which is obviously coming soon, can I have the FULL version of Kraftwerk - Autobahn, and "Once around the world" by It Bites?? Those two, along with the ads, will fill a full hour, and give your target audience something to talk about whilst watching "Towie"!

Some decent tunes there to be fair but would have Coldplays talk and travis turn, but to be honest you could go on all day everyone has so many different favourites and musical tastes, picking a perfect playlist trying to keep a big audience happy I suppose is not easy.

That was a real, "What a record, not heard that in ages moment." Even the presenter commented on it,saying what a great record it was. More of that sort of thing would be welcome. They also played Belinda Carlisle's Heaven is a Place on Earth, and the presenter said it was her "signature" tune. Well it's probably the only one you'll ever hear on Heart. Except maybe Leave A Light On,Compare My Radio says that was also played in the last thirty days. Once. |

I would say most of those fit into the typical Heart easy listening type category. I like the Britney one,one of her earlier hits. I prefer "Lucky",that has been called Britney's finest moment. The video is fantastic. I've never heard it on Heart and I doubt I ever will.

Something very odd happened on Heart at about 5.45 this morning.
It briefly became an interesting station. They played an absolute classic from the 80s,Sade,Smooth Operator, and then right after it,Craig David,Walking Away. I can't remember ever hearing either of those records on Heart before. Outside of the Time Tunnel, you hardly hear any records off the normal playlist on the weekend overnight show. To hear two in a row is practically unheard of in my experience. So well done to whoever slipped those in. That's the sort of thing I'd like to hear more of on Heart. When you're listening for a long period of time,as we do at work,it really does give you a lift when something a bit different comes on. |

Along with Hozier, and interestingly, the new Lawson single 'Roads'. Not sure how 'familiar' it will be with the Heart audience bearing in mind it's not released until May 24th! Anyone would think they're signed to Global Talent or something!

I would think more 80s and 90s music would test well with the Heart listening panel? But not sure which ones.

I just looked at that. It's surprising how little of a song you need to hear to recognise it, particularly as a lot of the songs on that survey will be very familiar to Heart listeners..it's a bit like compressing an entire night's Heart output into about five minutes. Although I did two lots of fifty songs and I don't think I heard any George Ezra or Ellie Goulding.
Pity the real station isn't like that. ![]() I like the way you can choose if a song is familiar and if it is heard on the radio too often of course I said yes to many of the Heart faves as that is the case. I think there were only 2 songs I weren't familiar with. A good survey some great tracks in there but I could think of hundreds more to test. I have put some on the Web site where it asks for comments. |

Zoe Hardman is also in for Mark Wright next Friday and Saturday on club classics 7pm to 9pm I'm guessing Mark will be going on his stag do this week. |
