Friday and Saturday nights are terrible for radio it seems if you don't like, disco/dance music.
Absolutely awful in this area as every commercial FM station is Heart. Now of course with the Christmas party season, six nights a week...Christmas part season? We have only just got past Remembrance Sunday. That and the Christmas songs... Star? Touch? Dream?

DITC starts on Banbury next week - from the way they're going on on Facebook, it looks like the big move to Holly Farm takes place this weekend.
Obviously Dancing In The City ran on the network under CN but got junked for the whole Soft Touch pile of arse (which in itself got quite rightly binned off the moment Quidem moved in.) There was though always the market for a good party show to go up against Club Classics. Dancing In The City was always that show - CN should have never axed it in the first place. Bringing it back was an absolute mastersroke on Quidem's part. |

I think in many ways they're providing a valuable service. From 7pm the hardcore audience will be watching the soaps. By putting Club Classics on on weeknights, it provides something for those of us who think weeknight television is a pile of arse. There's nothing of interest for me other than The Apprentice. So it's the only thing to keep me - someone who'd love to see Emmerdale, Corrie and 'Enders axes tomorrow - entertained, short of going down the pub.
Yes, some people compare Heart to McDonald's but look at a typical McDonald's, in that the menu is very basic. But at McDonald's they don't try to sell Big Macs for breakfast. McDonald's also have promotions to test out new products. Yes I hear Heart music test, but where? If they just test in say London, Birmingham and then shove the music that those listeners want to hear the fair enough. But use local hours especially and certain time of the day/week to offer something different. Key times IMO to try different options are Time Tunnel (which seems pointless as it is just overplayed. playlisted records) or evenings. overnight when the typical 35 year old woman that Heart aim for is probably watching soaps or asleep. |

Oh look, Chris Brooks formerly of Capital FM fame is presenting drivetime at my "local" Heart! Seeing as THIS IS HEART, I thought I'd check the site out at http://www.heart.co.uk/crawley/shows/drivetime/!
Tony Shepherd (ex Capital overnights) listed for Drivetime next week.

Presenters are warm, friendly, genuine and easy to relate to, broadcasting appropriate and relevant content (but not too much please, lisitenrs may re tune if they are more than 60 seconds form the music )that immediately connects with listeners’ lives. |

Personally speaking, I think Emma Bunton is excellent on Heart.
Her genuine warmth and enthusiasm shines through on every single link. Same goes for Harriet. |

Interesting to see Matt Wilkinson in place of Tom Evans on Heart Sussex Breakfast, alongside usual presenters Lynsey and Jack, for the next few weeks.
Thinking about it I suppose you couldn't really have Jack with lead presenter role on Heart Breakfast!!! Also good to see hear Nick Simon on Heart Sussex weekend breakfast on Sunday, he was previously on the Southern FM station (pre Heart & Global). |

Hi, Just recently purchased a digital Radio. Living in the North of England Heart is a first for me, but now able to listen to digital Heart. Is the feed I am hearing from 106.2 daytime or is it just mornings and drivetimes. During the day is it Heart Digital? Thanks.

Gladly her RAJAR shows that most people miss her "genuine warmth and enthusiasm" and lets not forget that she was dropped by global from her Friday drive stint in London.

I see that London's Heart played The Four Tops and Sam Cooke this morning on the breakfast show! Trying to gain back some listners? They should try and use those tunes on Birmingham too! They keep losing listeners juding by RAJAR.

London and Birmingham have the same logs... so if it was on 106.2, it would have been on 100.7.

It says London played those two records on the breakfast show yesterday morning. It doesn't say they played it on Birmingham though. It looks genuine too.

I've found when the Four Tops was playedon the website and wouldn't take it as gospel looking at the time the next four songs were played (two at the same time, then just a minute of the next song)

It's Heart 106.2 London with additional music where adverts would be placed or UK specific adverts.
