What would you expect them to say?

It's pretty obvious that anything involving technology is going to have the odd technical glitch. It happens to every radio station at some time or another. Even Radio 1 and Radio have suffered from them. I seem to recall a mistake being made on a pre recorded show not that long ago on Radio 2. It happens and it's no big deal.
???

You make no sense.

It's no big deal in your opinion.

It just shows the contempt these commercial operators have for the listener.

They decide to destroy local output and replace it with this cheap and nasty product. If they want to operate a national radio service, then each show should be live, end of.

And yes, that should go for the BBC as well as the amaturish heart.

Global are simply redefining their assets to make them and the commercial industry as a whole more viable. If you bemoan the fact that your local Heart station is no longer 'local' then perhaps you should accept that that is actually the point and if you want 'local' then listen to the local station in your town. Thats what they are there for and most of them could do with the audience.[/quote]

so here in peterborough we really have local choice to choose from. BBC radio 1 to 4 from london, classic from london, bbc radio cambs from cambridge (about cambridge), heart from cambridge/london, kiss from london but originally bury st edmonds , connect from kettering (i think).
we go so much local choice here, NOT!

Have to say week before last week Heart actually started playing some different songs and I thought they have finally decided to expand the playlist but alas while sat at work last week George Ezra, Whitney Houston "I Wanna Dance", CeCe Peniston "Finally", Amy Grant "Big Yellow Taxi" and Olly Murs "Up" twice in one afternoon meant my joy of some different songs went short lived.

No doubt I will hear Taylor Swift "Shake It On" at least twice during my shift tomorrow

Candi staton - Young hearts run free

Ace of Base - All that she wants
Boyzone - No Matter What
Simply Red - Fairground
No Mercy - Where do you go

Could be here all night, the list is endless.

That's just bull, it's a sweeping statement to say they no longer get played! They've probably just been given a rest and taken out of rotation for a while if what you are saying is true.

Heart (all local versions) it was song 1 on the time tunnel.

Although interestingly if you look at the Heart website it misses out the first two songs (that and Oasis) on all stations bar London for some odd reason. But as the time tunnel tracks are the same on all stations then it would have been played on all of them.

Why do you ask, were you listening to the Time Tunnel?

Why do you and also radio stations assume everyone's work day is 9 til 5?! Only 21 million people in the uk are at work between 9 and 5.
