unless there are specialist shows that play stuff that would never be played during the day?

even smooth's specialist show tracks wouldn't be out of place on the daytime playlist (which I think is one of the reasons its popular, a lot of people switch on the radio on a saturday night for example in the car, and most are playing stuff they have no connection to, whereas smooth is steady, inoffensive and consistent

Heart still have issues with the songs not appearing on the played list so the data which compare my radio have won't be correct this is a long standing issue

Compare my radio data for Heart does seem wrong, shows a higher number of tracks than they actually play. A shame as it's a great site but pointless if the data is invalid and it can't be trusted.

Hmmmmm.......

The "usual suspects" always argue that they won't play a new track before it charts, and there will be no "research" for this, so it just makes a mockery of the "testing" nonsense!

Not really. The audience will already be familiar with the Oasis version track as the theme tune to The Royle Famiy, and this new version is the soundtrack to John Lewis Christmas advert and most of Heart's target audience will have seen that too. Plus it's already heading for the Top 10 this Friday, so everything is in its favour.

And what about the new Nathan Sykes track? Oasis cover? No! John Lewis commercial? No! Top 10 on Friday? No! Signed to Global Talent and 'close friend' of Ashley Tabor? Ahhh, there we go!!

I do not tune into Heart by choice, but it is bland enough 24 hours a day for the warehouse tannoy.
Recall last year Black Friday 9am, Time Tunnel back to back Christmas music.
Hope for a repeat this year.

Had the misfortune of forgetting to charge my dab radio and iPod the other day. Had to make do with the fm radio on my phone.....and around here, on small portable radios the only reliable commercial station on fm is heart.

.....been a long while since I listened to heart, all I can say is, it was dire.

What! No Christmas tunes until Dec 1st?
I remember a few years back they were phasing them in November 6th, which was too early.
It seems to get later each year,

Will 7pm Club Classics become Party Classivs again? Basically Club Classics with Wham and Maiah Carey.
