I'd rather hear 13 edited songs than 11 in full.
I'd rather hear 11 or 12 full songs than 13 that have had endings hacked off! Ruins the song

Also the normal heart songs with Toni Braxton etc. Very poor but I guess lots like hearing those songs over and over I don't though.
Toni Braxton has always been a heart song - and I like it. But it has to be in full.

Hi,

Have just had a quick look on Radioplayer (where you can listen to radio shows on the net) and Heart's listen live is working ok. The problem is when I try and listen to another show again (I missed Toby Anstis yesterday) - however, none of the shows from this week are playing when you click on them.
Nick Snaith? No.
Toby Anstis? No to both yesterday and today.

So it seems as though there is a problem somewhere on the Heart servers? If so can someone from Heart have a look into it?

Thanks

You already have a thread dedicated to the hacking of songs on Heart. It is not relevant to this thread.

Good grief is Richard Park trying to get the listeners used to her?

Didn't you claim (again) just yesterday that you'd never be listening again? You didn't last very long, 12 hours or so!

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...&postcount=789

Well, the people at Heart can rejoice knowing that I won't be listening to their station again. And no I won't be back in a few days. It's permanently gone. Forever.

To be fair that is his personal best.

I'm trying to figure out Nick Snaith accent? Interesting as some presenters accents have slightly emerged since going national.

Nick was brought up in Shropshire (http://www.shropshirestar.com/news/2...-historic-pub/) although I've always thought he's accent-less back to his BRMB days.

She needs to pay the debt collectors off - though why she can't get a normal job like the rest of us mortals or stand on a street corner in Soho, I'd love to know.

I am sick of hearing that pussies song "Beneath Your Beautiful" all the time. Nothing but a souless, drippy ballad for losers.

Resorted to a Dutch version: "Jij bent zo wondermooi"

I wouldn't be that rude. Steve Allen only is allowed to say things like that in Global HQ

Beneath You're Beautiful just played now on Heart and again about 10:50 am today. I don't mind the song but please don't play it every show.

Toby Anstis' playlist today (10-11)

1. Olly Murs - Dear Darlin
2) Ce Ce Peniston - Finally *
3) Kelly Clarkson - Stronger
4) A Ha - Take On Me *
5) Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines *
6) Natalie Inbruglia - Torn
-----
7) Take That - Shine
8) Katy Perry - Roar
9) George Michael - As *
10) Jason Mraz - I Won't Give Up *
-----
11) Human league - Don't You Want Me
12) Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
13) Rihanna - Diamonds

* - indicates a song was hacked off before it's natural fade point.

As you can clearly see 5 of the 13 songs had to be hacked off to get all of the songs in. This is a substantial amount.
If they only played 12 songs (which is what they did about a year ago) they wouldn't have to hack off the endings.

Heart - please learn from this.

And another Beneath You're Beautiful again now. Oh dear, why do they have to repeat songs!

Because people like it. You might not, but strangely enough they're not targeting anoraks who've publicly stated more than once that they'll never listen again yet who are still apparently spending several hours a day scrutinising their output with a stopwatch. Bizarre.

Last week I did a Compare My Radio search for my local station (Heart Norfolk) and their 'variety gauge' over the last month was 13%. Out of the 8,060 songs they played, 1,024 were 'unique'. My local commercial station (Radio Norwich) had a 16% variety guage, but they played 1,536 'unique' songs out of 9,338 overall. The local commercial radio stations are much better than the national ones.

Compare My Radio is notoriously inaccurate. I wouldn't put too much faith in it.

BBC Radio 2 gets 60%+ variety on Compare My Radio. I can definitely say that they would, and do, play that sort of variety any day.

You don't seem to mind when they play Starship several times a day...

In your opinion. However I think I know which station has more people listening....

Radio 2 carry a lot more specialised content though.

You already have a thread dedicated to the hacking of songs on Heart. It is not relevant to this thread.
Update: DS have just closed the thread: Heart and the Continuing hacking of Songs (merged).
That'll be a relief for some posters

And don't worry I won't be littering this thread either. Heart in the past!
