The patent is to stop other companies like Apple using the same gesture on their devices. They're not trademarking or copyrighting it, so Heart are fine to continue using it.

Just listened to Heart today for the first time in ages. Not liking the removal of the sung jingles (except for after the news). All sounding a little low budget.

The jingles and idents have changed recently - the last lot were from IQ Beats, however the new ones are from On The Sly.
I believe the new ones to be more subtle than the old ones.
Shame the segues aren't as subtle!

They are designed to fit better with the Heart playlist, you can still catch the old sung jingle once an hour (usually around xx:20ish past the hour)

Agreed, he's totally spoiling every thread now. I've reported to the mods, I suggest anyone else who is fed up of him do the same and they might take notice finally.

People will do anything to bash Heart won't they? It's a brand making lots of money because it's slick and plays music people can dip in and listen to, along with plenty of cash prizes to keep the appeal. The marketing is big too. I don't think we are really going to worry about one segue being wrong. Seriously.

I no longer live in London, as in the Home counties but still follow Heart London on facebook. Bunton always seems to be off, plus her ever so short shift compared to other female breakfast jocks on the network. Reading the comments on facebook Jamie and Emma don't seem to be popular, do you think they'd shake up London breakfast with either Jamie, or Jamie and Emma going?

Edit: No it didn't play. I checked today's last 10 songs (for the whole show) and it didn't appear.

Maybe It wasn't him but it could be as he is the one most likely to make cutdowns.
