I think heart stations should not broadcast the top 40 as new music fits the Capital FM audience more.

Quite a few changes to the heart London and heart network line up for Good Friday

Lucy Ellis is covering for Margherita Taylor from 04:00 to 06:00

Jamie and Emma are off so Roberto is covering 06:00 to 10am

Matt Wilkinson is covering for Toby Anstis 10am to 2pm

Margherita Taylor is covering part of Matts show and JK and Lucy from 2pm to 6pm

Mark Wright is doing an extended club classics from 6pm to 9pm

Steve Denyer is covering club classics for Roberto 9pm to 1am

why can't they both play some new tracks. It's not like they sound the same.

I think the Poster means The Big Top 40 show rather than the day to day playlist.

Bugs me how that Big Top 40 takes up a lot of stations at that time. Best stations are the ones that don't air it.

The Big Top 40 aims to be a national show, if it cam off Heart it would no longer be available on FM in many areas.

Heart covers much more of the UK than Capital and in many areas has the only licence for a service playing current music so Top 40 music is a key part of their remit, if they only played older songs they would not be adhering to their licences as a contempory station.

Heard Dean piper on with Stephen and Emma this morning however Dean is running the London Marathon so either the interview was pre recorded or Stephen and Emma's show is pre recorded

I'd imagine that after a while, Global and Communicorp will move Capital, Heart, XFM and Smooth to a new HQ so they can be together

They share the building with the BBC too?
