Sad to report that ONCE AGAIN a certain poster has seen fit when asked politely to explain their comments they have thrown dolly out of the pram and gone as per to the mods and had posts removed

As several of us have said in the past quick enough to dish out but doesn't like taking it

I only mourn the fact that yet again another Heart /real/smooth thread that you "happen" to be involved in has been so heavily altered as to hardly be worth reading as OTHER PEOPLES views that don't agree with yours are smothered

Heart Hampshire (the former Ocean FM) and Heart Dorset (the former 2CR FM) were lumped into a single Heart station back in 2010, operating out of the same premises as Capital FM between Portsmouth and Southampton.

It is surprising that 102.3 from Nine Barrow Down, near Swanage, should have been unaffected when the various former Ocean FM sites were knocked out, and are closer to the studios.

The fact that Capital FM South Coast was also reportedly off-air at the same time implies it was a problem at the studio premises, as Capital uses Chillerton Down on the Isle of Wight, which is not used *at all* by Heart for FM.

Funny isn't it - just because you don't Globalbash like most on here, you seem to be the target of mock and ridicule - I should know, been there!

Think you will find goldenage (and incidentally I've read and ACTUALLY AGREED with much of what you have said in the past) it's not the fact that he's a staunch supporter of Global ( I myself love LBC) it's his sarcastic dismissive attitude to those of us who actually dared to like Real and Smooth as it was
I myself long since resigned myself to the fact that Heart was coming ...god knows he shoved it down our throats twenty four seven what really annoyed me and others was his couldn't care less atitude over the many loyal staff who'd lost their jobs some who I know personally
All I did was ask him how he would feel if he or any of his family were slung on the scrapheap and am STILL awaiting his reply
I like so many others consider it a fair question
Finally as someone who listened to the original Heart DAB only station it was actually quits good but like all the other Global music station has systematically had all the personality sucked out of it

Seeing that Heart has been broadcasting in the former Real Raido regions for a week. I was wondering where could Global Raido be looking at to once again expand the Heart Brand??

I can't see it going any further save for a few non global stations around the country which I doubt they could rebrand even if they purchased them
I would say more likely they may now rebrand the as yet unspecified gold style dab station as Smooth gold or Extra
That would give the Smooth brand a final push to align it more to the global family

It isn't the listeners problem who keeps a job and who doesn't within a company. That is Globals problem. I am just a listener who wants the best product there is. It is personal to care about people's jobs, a listener shouldn't be involved in that process, but the employee and the employer themselves.

I can't believe how people on here who dislike Heart so much find themselves listening to it and actually taking time to post on here with negative comments...it's simple...just don't listen to it! I don't like XFM for instance, but I'm not in its forum slagging it off. I find it all bizarre.

It took me a few days to get used to Joel and Russ, as just wasn't used to them. But now heart is here it really does stand out as the strongest radio station in region compared to Key103 and the likes.

There are a few black holes Heart doesn't cover where they could buy a local station and rebrand it to Heart. There's the Lincs FM group that don't have any Hearts in their area as far as I'm aware. I do wonder if Global will try to persuade Comunicorp to go into Orion's office with a chaquebook to buy GEM 106 and turn it back to Heart to run as a franchise?

I expect Global will now look to expand Capital and Smooth where possible in the future.

So far as Lincolnshire Is concerned I think with the heart and smooth regional services around the midlands and from what I'm reading elsewhere Derby and area dab finally going live or at least testing they would have no pressing need to buy Lincs other than to boost a couple of very small dodgy reception areas which will be sorted soon anyway
Also the lincs group acquisition may just start another mini sell off over completion issues
When I lived in Derby Gwr Globals predecessor with the exception of one other commercial broadcaster already blanketed the area
But agree interesting to see what's next for them

Well I for one don't listen to Heart. If it stands out as the strongest station in your region then you are welcome to it.

Can I ask why you bother to read its forum page?

Or why anyone should take your comments seriously if you don't actually bother to listen to what you're criticising?
