Does anyone know if heart London is still available on the Yorkshire signal via DAB? before the switch over to heart NE I could pick it up in Darlington but now since the switch over it doesn't appear to work, has its frequency changed?

Such a good feeling hearing heart being blasted out of someones car in the sunshine!
If I ever pull up alongside said car, they'll get a countering blast of Absolute!

The only downside to that is that while I did have the optional sub woofer fitted to the car from new, so the speakers do have a fair bit of oomph to them really, the car itself is a smart fortwo. It's rather like a Chihuahua having the bark of a Rottweiler: might be impressive or you might just fall about laughing at the strangeness of it all!

Complete rubbish! In Essex you can also receive Chelmsford / Southend Radio, or Dream 100 in north Essex, so if you don't like heart or the bbc you can still listen to non global commercial radio!

Real Radio became Heart in both the North East and Yorkshire after the May Bank Holiday. The Regional Multiplex for the North East closed in July 2013 and Real Radio moved to the Teeside and Tyne Wear local multiplexes so that maybe why your old presets dont work in Darlington. The Yorkshire multiplex is due to cease in June next year.

You can hear some of the London programs still on the regional hearts/former Reals outside Breakfast and Drive on the respective multiplexes and FM.

I'm assuming you are referring to my post though you haven't quoted it (it does help!)
I merely requoted the opening post of the thread
It's a while since I've been down your neck of the woods though the situation in Wales is as reported by the other poster

Yeah sorry I'm a bit of a technophobe so forgot to put quote in!
I wasn't trying to be rude, but it does bug me that people always moan about heart when they could switch it off and listen to something else

Heart London has been taken off that multiplex due to the launch of the Yorkshire FM service:

Seems to be happening very frequently doesn't it?

Another poster told of a cock up in Norwich earlier!

And they have the nerve to call other stations "Tinpot"!!

Tinpot is a rather disparaging term usually banded about by Commercial radio insiders to make it look as like none of the competition knows what they are doing.

It is, massively, amusing when the big groups make cock ups, and proves the word "tinpot" is a wrong too,

I think the small stations will joke when the big ones cock up, That is the problem with networking everything from London without a backup location.

Fair play to Hit though for mentioning it
(Even if maybe through gritted teeth )
Incidentally sorry that the thread where we were talking of staff at the towers contributing to DS has been amended
Sad thing was both myself and another member were PRAISING smart programmer whose comments have ALSO GONE
And before you say it Hit I'm absolutely sure you didn't have it taken off
We may both disagree with much of what each other says but now are civil about it😄

Glad you are still here Smart
One of the other posters had mentioned you bullying as you may recall which you quite rightly refuted
Anothef poster said much the same and said despite the fact you were obviously as you worked for them VERY PRO GLOBAL would sit and have a pint with you !!
I basically agreed and said its to your credit that you were up front about working for them UNLIKE SOME !!
Hit then asked if I thought other employees of Global were contributing to this and the other heart and real threads to which I said yes IN MY OPINION ONLY !
A little later I noticed your remarks other than the one you had made to a lady which said clearly to her displeasure you were still here had gone !
Also my remarks and the other poster who wanted to take you for a drink also magically went plus hits question to me and my reply
Then early this morning someone posted that the ORIGINAL Article which prompted the thread in the first place (from LAST year I believe !) had been remioved
And then a little later the whole thread had gone
There was nothing in it that could have been considered IN MY OPINION malicious rude slanderous or libellous that I could see
I DID think for a while that maybe you had left and asked for the whole thing to be removed but couldn't figure out why !
I'm very pleased to see you are still here but totally bemused over the whole thing
I've received nothing from DS to say I was in the wrong so can only assume somebody may have thought one of the posters was about to say too much
Sorry to go around the houses but you did ask and I didn't want anyone to think I had complained
Best wishes

Since Heart Wales began Joel Ross has been on Heart Breakfast in Wales. This means that his afternoon slot on Heart Westmids no longer has a presenter. Mark Watson who hosts Saturday afternoons on Heart Thames Valley has now been moved up the the afternoon slot on Heart Westmids and Dan Mills is now presenting Saturday afternoons in the Thames Valley. James Merritt appears to have taken on the overnight shit on Saturdays and it also appears the Lucy Ellis (From Sunday afternoon's in the Thames Valley) is taking Sunday overnights as well as Early Breakfast next week. Not sure what's up with Matt Mackay but he hosted Club Classics last week for Steve Denyer, but his twitter bio no longer mentions the overnight shift.
