Hitmusic, I'd personally love to know which station you work for (or group even) and in which capacity. Few people on these forums big up their own apparent expertise without actually directly qualifying it as much as you do. (and I'm not saying it's wrong to do that, but it would be nice if you would actually qualify it to give you more credibility).

That said, if I were previously involved in the car crash of a station that was 106.8 millennium radio I probably would keep a fairly low profile. I used to listen to the station regularly and while much of the music was good at times, the technical competence and presentation of the station was frequently poor and sometimes appalling.

My guess is that you actually work for a community station, not a commerical one? Nothing wrong with that if you do however. I think it's pretty clear that you do not work for Global though, especially the way you've waxed lyrical about Heart coming to the NW before Global had even formally announced it, I don't think Global staff would have been doing that, they'd know not to preempt their employer's actions especially on a public forum.

All that said, it's great you have passion and enthusiasm for Heart though I still fail to see why the station and it's bland presentation and song selection excites you so much. Still, one's man muck is another man's brass etc and the Reals clearly couldn't have gone on as they were even if Heart hadn't come along. I think you could do with being a little more objective and a little less zealous about Heart though, it's not healthy!

You don't need to state which employer other than just indicate is it one of the major groups, some local true ILR or community. You've never even done that, even though you could without identifying who you work for. So to some, that just makes them start sniffing and feeling that they can smell... well, you know what, don't you?
