Yeah, course you did, just as I still believe in the tooth fairy and Father Christmas!”

I'm not sure if I quite believe it from Mark but it's of course not just the commercial sector does this. Chris Evans said in an interview that he used to listen to Wogan when he collected trolleys at a shopping centre in Warrington when he was a teenager, both Moyles and Grimshaw have mentioned growing up listening to the Radio 1 breakfast show.

I'm sure there are other examples.

So most of your pro Heart posts must be bull then?

It's certainly more credible to think that Moyles and Grimshaw listened to the Radio 1 breakfast show as kids than Evans listening to Wogan. Even as a 40 year old, Wogan sounded old and tired to me so whether a young guy would have listened is very debatable.

That's what I thought as well. Although how did his style vary from his first and second stint on breakfast? Some of my family used to say they much preferred Wogan first time around and were annoyed by him when he returned.

Indeed - he namechecked Birchwood Shopping Centre in the interview I got that from. I used to live near there and knew people who worked in shops there so had heard the story a few times so was good to have it confirmed!

Everyone in Warrington has an Evans or Kerry Katona story!

Possibly. Depends if he's had training if there isn't a tech op available?

Isn't some of his weekend shows voicetracked?

I'm fairly sure Martin Bruce is his producer so it could be Martin who presses the button's

On the contact part of Mark's page it says you have to contact him by 5pm on Tuesday's for a chance to be mentioned on the Friday and Saturday night shows so I would guess they record it either on the Tuesday evening or Wednesday last time Mark was live Sunday to Thursday he was also live on the Friday night then the Saturday show was pre-recorded

Ellie Gaulding "Burn" is that REALLY a club classic or indeed a future club classic?

It's been out over a year.

What's the release date got to do with it though?

My question was asking if it is a club classic?

It's not a dance or party song and I have never heard it on the dance floor.

Although it is a great song but it's no dance track.

It fits the whole 'feel good' mood that Club Classics is about and it does get played on dancefloors.

Nothing wrong with playing it in Club Classics.

Capital play remixes you would play this song in a club.

So why not more similar recent / up to date tracks then??

Or are you just "singing from the Hymn sheet" as per

Agree its a good song but hardly likely to be played in a club therefore I fail to see how it can be classified as a club classic.

Really...? Does burn make people "feel good"?! I need your love is a dance song so should be played instead. That is a future classic I think.

What Hymn sheet. I don't work for a radio group so you can't possibly be saying that I work for Global.
