Song of Freedom & Vale Decem lyrics
Granny McSmith

I was listening to DW at the proms last night, (absolute magic), and wondered if anyone on here knows the words to the Ood songs, or knows where I can find them?

I know, (or I think I know), that they sing in Latin, so would like a translation, too, as my Latin is practically non-existent.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Tankyou for that.....It was really odd reading the translations!!! I wonder if the words "this other one..." are talking about the new Doctor?

I have wondered this a few times myself but had never been able to find anything. Thanks for that link.

Thanks very much for the response. The words are quite moving, actually.

I had wondered if anyone had the DW music CD whether it gave you the words, (I haven't, obviously), but it would seem not.

My other half performed in the shows - he's in the London Philharmonic Choir - and I got to peek at his songbook...

Unfortunately, they had to give them back after the performances, so really I'm no help...

That must have been a fantastic experience for him, lucky thing!

I hope he's a DW fan

He's not that bothered about it, to be honest! Or at least he wasn't before he performed. He seems much more open to watching them now (I think he's got a little crush on Matt Smith...).

He and a few others from the choir kept asking me about all things Doctor Who after their Sunday performance!

Great if it's made some new fans among the performers
